I am doing a study of Timothy using the Bible Facts tool to look up every reference to him. The tool shows him, Paul, and Silas as being the referent of "idiwn" in 1 Thess 2:14. Am I missing something in the text or is this incorrectly tagged?
This is an obvious error. I'd suggest reporting it with the typo tool.
Looks like a tagging issue to me.

More likely it refers to those who remained in the synagogue there, together with the mob they incited (Acts 17:5,ff.). In either case "other citizens of Thessalonica who opposed them."

If tagging "own compatriots" as one entity I would agree, if tagging "own" separately from "compatriots" then "own" should refer to the church?

Well, I suppose they may have had division in the church, and one group wanted to take over the property. Whoever these people were, the church suffered at their hands in the same way other churches were suffering at the hand of the Jews (see context). The most likely scenario is that Paul has the events in Acts 17:5, ff. in mind here (unless there were other similar events too). Their 'own' (idiwn) indicates that the group includes fellow Thessalonians, but not necessarily fellow church members. It may also include fellow Jews, for those who had left the synagogue to become Christians.
If there is a case made by some commentator that this is about distension in the church, I'd be interested in seeing it (though today I need to focus on my message for tomorrow).
Should be reported by email (LogosFeedback@logos.com) as they aren't going to see this on the General forum.
