There's a nice picture on the homepage of Hab 3:17-18 with a simple photo of a bare tree alongside it.  I wanted to copy/save this photo and use it elsewhere but couldn't work out how to do it.

a) is it possible to do it?

b) is it legal to do it?!

Thank you,

Paul

Hey, Loverly Guys!          *smile*                 Peace to you!                     I have Windows 8 Professional and got the free app which shows the Logos Verse of the Day on my very colourful Windows 8 Home Page...

I usually save the Logos Verse of the Day because they are so super great!       Here's today's ...    I think you can copy from the forums ...

Philippians 4:  4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

This is the "Verse of the Day" feature which is created by a graphics team at Logos. I'm pretty sure all of the graphics they create (such as the Logos Infographics) are licensed to us to use how we like, though I only know that for sure about the Infographics.

I was able to copy it by selecting it, just click and drag near it. It did pick up some other text from the home page, but once I pasted it all into a Word document, I was able to isolate just the picture. Another way to copy it would be to capture a Screenshot.

But the sure fire-way to get it in the best resolution is to go directly to where they post those images online. See this thread for a discussion of it. If you know the date of the image you're looking for, you can edit the URL manually to find it this way. For example, that verse of the day is http://biblia.com/verseoftheday/2013-09-18.

And the image is here:

If you don't know the date you're looking for, you can browse through the images at http://wiki.logos.com/Biblia_Verse_of_the_Day_images and see if you can find it (though Mark has not been keeping that page up-to-date) or follow the BibleScreen group on Faithlife, and then go to its Documents section, where you can download all the images posted to date as a .zip file. They haven't posted a new .zip file in 2 months, so the verse of today probably wouldn't be in it. In fact, I did just download the zip file, and there is an image for Hab 3:17-18, but it isn't the above. It's this one:

EDIT: Milford beat me to it.

Hi Paul

Using my Mac I am still unable to save the images.

A single click - jumps me to the verse in my bible.

A two finger click has no effect.

A three finger click highlights the image but I am still unable to copy it.

We recently launched BibleScreen.com to give people a way to download and display all of our verse of the day art. It was designed for set-top boxes (like Roku) or digital picture frames, but there are certainly other uses.

You can read the BibleScreen announcement on the Logos Blog.

What would be really nice is if these showed up on our passage guide when the text we're looking at has a used verse.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Peace, Thomas!                             Yes!                         *smile*

I often meditate for a brief time -- or even a few minutes -- on some of the fantastic work --

It helps me see the Diamond of God's Word from a different angle -- revealing another and then still another subtle colour in one of its many Glorious Facets, eh???    *smile*

Sir Milford! Simply beautiful. Thank you and thank our Lord for the blessing that is you Sir. It's wonderful to read the many thoughtful and valuable posts that you provide in this forum. Perhaps you are a retired pastor but the charism of preaching still shines through your input. Peace!
