I'm wanting to search for the word "waters", but entering that into the search box also returns "water". How do I search for the exact term "waters" and then for only "waters" to be returned?
How do I search for the exact term "waters" and then for only "waters" to be returned?
In the search menu (Magnifying glass icon), make sure "match all word forms" is unchecked.
Thanks, but I'm searching in a list and I want the other words to find the alternatives, eg (waters, river, stream) - I'm wanting waters only, but stream or streams and river or rivers. Any ideas?
Why not search for what you describe you want: waters, river, rivers, stream, streams?
But you still be at the mercy of your translator of choice, so maybe a look into the Greek / Hebrew lemmas is in order. But it seems you are not looking at words, but at a certain concept (a body of flowing water), so check out searching for Louw-Nida domains. I'm not at my L5 PC right now, but the Logos bible sense database may help (or help in the future, I'm not sure whether they brought out the substantive senses you need)
Thanks for the ideas
