5.2 Beta 3 (5.2.0.0034) PC. Logos forgets which layout is being used when it reboots from a resourc

Yesterday and today I received new resource downloads and both times after the reboot Logos did not remember which layout I was using.  The layout did return to what it was, but the name was not displayed on the header bar and was not checked in the Layout list.  I had to "update current snapshot" on the layout I was using in the layout list so it knew which one I was working with.

    I just noticed the same thing! I start with Most Recent Layout - local, and here are my Layouts:-

    The active layout should be Laptop Beta. The non-local App Closed layout at 4.01pm belongs to Laptop 5.A (same computer).

    Tim, you should provide similar information.

    I couldn't reproduce this with the latest code, using these steps:

    • Launch Logos 5.2 and load a layout.
    • Set Program Settings to open to "Most recent layout - any" or "Most recent layout - local" (I tried both)
    • Unlock a resource
    • Run "update now"
    • When the download completes, use the Notification Bar or the taskbar notification area icon to restart the program
    • The splash screen appears, then Preparing Your Library runs, then the app opens to the layout selected in the first step (and its name is in the window title bar).

    Can you tell me if you're using different steps to repro?

    When the next beta comes out, can you re-test the problem? Perhaps it's already been fixed internally?

    Like Dave, my "At Startup Open to" is set to "Most recent layout - local."

    My steps are the same as Bradley's, except I didn't run "Update Now."  I waited for the notice that there were new resources before using the icon on the notification bar to restart Logos.

    Perhaps it's already been fixed internally?

    Gota love those "internal" fixes.

    I'll check again with next beta.

    Bradley,

    I initially thought it was a regression, where the 'most recent' layout is non-local e.g.

    • close 5.2 B3 with active layout
    • open & close 5.1b (on same computer in my case)
    • open 5.2  ==> no active layout

    However, it happens very simply:-

    • close 5.2 B3 with active layout
    • open 5.2 B3 ==> no active layout

    I can reproduce the problem with these simple steps; thanks for the update!
