Has anyone seen any info on upcoming Thanksgiving or Black Friday sales? I've been out of the loop for a while and wondered if I had missed anything. If nothing has come out yet, does anyone know when those advertisements start coming out? I'm hoping for some big sales this year. I would really like to pick up: https://www.logos.com/product/9653/nelson-bible-reference-bundle

Too bad you can't put CC's and PP's on your wish list .... to be published FIRST!

My wishlist is empty; my CC/PP orders are where my heart is.

But maybe the sale will center on the most sought (already published of course).

I really like this year's idea of choosing resources from our wish lists. I'm really looking forward to it. Yes

Seems to me we can get from wish list prices equal to academic discount. It was about i think three years ago where we could name an item and logos was sending a discount. At that time I had academic discount and the prices of sales were matching.

Denise, I don't know whether to envy you or pity you. Tongue Tied I have multiple $K's in my Wish List...and my PrePub list...and my CP list. It's a good thing neither of my kids are dating--I think I'm spending my great-great grandchildren's inheritance on Logos resources. Surprise

Would this "set up" include items already on our wish list?

I really like this year's idea of choosing resources from our wish lists. I'm really looking forward to it. Yes

Well, not sure if that's a good idea especially when they clearly state the obvious (notice the capital IF - I'd put it on 70 font but it won't allow me to do it): The obvious is: "...IF they’re among the most popular wish-list items, they’re likely to be put on sale." Last year if I'm not mistaken it was the same thing but worded differently: "Vote for the items you want to see on sale" or something along those lines and the results were very disappointing and a great number of people complained.  This year, no doubt, will be more of the same.  Call for a special pricing (from the popular wishlist lol) and the special discount sometimes is not even close to what people expected (sometimes not even 25% off...LOL). Oh well, Logos is not to blame for this, WE ARE for getting too excited for something that we know is NOT going to happen...example: 50% or even 40% off NICOT/NT or some other special set or resource that we want (forget the "publishers argument" it won't fly).

You know, it's funny that Logos is willing to eat up a 40K mistake and make no profit and "lose money" yet they won't have a 40% or 50% off sale on resources where they could actually be making more money on those in 1 day or weekend than they ever will in a whole year.  I guess I'll never understand that.  And no, March Madness 75% off doesn't count because we don't get that on the whole set of BECNT or PNTC or any other bundle like Nelson's Reference Bundle, so no March Madness doesn't count because is mostly on individual resources that are hand picked by Logos and not us.  Same with this years "IF they are among the most popular wish-list items...etc."

I don't mean to sound negative (that's why I inserted "LOL's" to show I'm laughing at this whole thing) but again, we have to be realistic.  I've never seen a Black Friday sale that actually gives you a REALLY good discount.

Have a great night!

DAL

I could be misreading you DAL but you do sound somewhat negative to me. Certainly I'd like to get NICOT/NT for 50% off too but I am thankful the discounts I have received over the years.

For those who are interested here is a link to last year's blog for Black Friday - http://blog.logos.com/2012/11/black-friday-dont-miss-these-deals/ I thought there were a number of decent sales last year.

And more recently I purchased the Hermeneia and Continental series for almost 50% at the Back to School sale this fall - http://blog.logos.com/2013/09/last-chance-get-big-back-to-school-savings/

David, I was a big fan of Jefferson Airplane and 'White Rabbit'  (I was the only one that did indeed go to Mother for medicine!).

But the Logosian library for me is simply rabbit-trail-support (most people don't notice rabbits do carry a small library).  And my rabbit-trails are leading whense the other Logosian rabbits don't appear to be interested (so, Is's buying the hardcopy of the new Pseudepigrapha writeup).

Luckily there's another company that does rabbit-trail-support!  And charges less, no less.

But the latest BFS idea should make Logosians happy.  Probably another Sproul sale. Who knows.

Although it is a good price for what you get it is the old Libronix CD and is not complete. It also does not include the Continental Commentary like the current Logos bundle.

I didn't say it would include the Continental set ... its just the complete Hermeneia set.. (except the latest recent upgrade) .. maybe around 40ish volumes. Came with a serial code and just activate it by calling CS. easy.

Big download.. love it.

While it's not complete and doesn't included the continental commentary.  It will save a lot of money because of dynamic pricing.  I remember with the back to school sale it was around $280 complete the set (I got the libronix hermenia for under $40 which i believer were 38 resources).  I couldn't justify the expense at the time because a lot of SDA resources coming through pre-pubs at that month I believe.

Anyway, I believe I've seen the set 2 or 3 times being offered for sale at 50% or + off.  so likely it may happen again.
