Can I still do research with other libraries?

Remote Library search is one of those few items which will not be brought into L4.  It turns out that the facility to do that is easily available on the internet..

Sorry, I can't.  Because I haven't tried and just plain never did use the feature beyond toying with it.

In the early (hidden) beta forum Bob mentioned this tool...

Bob Pritchett:
The only features we're planning to drop with no alternate solution are Remote Library Search (because you can do it on the web now), Graphical Query Editor (superceded by better search and syntax searching), confusing overhead (Library Maintenance, Account Management moving to the web), and, um, I can't remember. But nothing big.
Bob wrote that in the Beta Forum.  Since I almost never used RLS I can't answer your query, but I assume that Bob believes you can search the individual library websites.  At any rate hopefully someone will come along that can give you a more complete answer, and maybe even a tutorial.

FWIW I just checked on one site.

You can search the DTS library right there on the front page:

That's a serious good find Paul!  I'm going to book mark that just for the shear joy of watching it find obscure books over and over and over and over and....

Why remove something so beneficial in academic research especially when it already exists?
