I've searched on the forum, but been unable to find the answer to this (although I suspect there will probably be an easy one!).

I'm trying to search for all occurrences in the Old Testament for "Yahweh Elohim" (in the original language); I have no problems searching for the individual words, but can't find how to search for both at the same time. My original thought was to undertake a search using either the lemmas or Strong's number, but I'm unsure how to search for them both at the same time.

Hi Drew

i don't have access to my computer at the moment but sounds like you want to use "Proximity Operators"

Does the information at http://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help#Proximity_Operators help?

For many translations you could search for  "Lord God" (with quotes), but to search a Hebrew bible you can use the lemmas in Morph Search

  • enter h:yahweh to see choices ---> lemma:יהוה
  • enter h:elohim --> lemma:אֱלֹהִים
  • search for lemma:יהוה BEFORE 1 WORD lemma:אֱלֹהִים

The lemmas may be different as I used BHW 4.18 with Westminster Morphology. For more info see http://wiki.logos.com/Search_HELP#Morph_Search.
