My Logos 4a crashes when entering the query in the command line for any passage in Genesis. I was working with a Tech from Logos prior to the holiday and he deleted my index and I re-indexed with the same problem. The software seems to work in the new testament. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I would like to use the 2k resource I have on my system.

I am using a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop with Intel Core 2, Duo 2.4 ghz, 800 mhz, 3m L2 cache, 4gb ram, ddr2, 667 mhz 2dimm, 320gb hd and 500gb hd.

I am new to the forum.

Thank you for your help.

This problem was resolved with Mark's help. I deleted my clippings and note files.

Thanks Bill, don't worry about being new!

The log you have sent shows a crash one minute after loading Logos4, but this doesn't appear to be after you typed Genesis in the command bar. The crash appears to be something to do with clippings or handouts. I'm not yet clear what the problem is. But:

  • Can you confirm that the problem occurs when typing Genesis in the command bar, and not on startup (as the logs appear to suggest)
  • Can you start Logos with a blank workspace (http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_Not_Starting), re-create the error, and send new logs so I can compare the two.

Thanks.
