I've just noticed that Logos.com search results don't seem to be very good at bringing up Community Pricing books/collections - perhaps a reason why some of them are languishing?
Eg: Searching by surname sometimes doesn't always bring up results:
- The Works of John Gill: A search for Gill brings up nothing, but a search for 'John Gill' brings up 5 pages!
- The Presbyterian’s Armoury (3 vols.): 2 volumes are by George Gillespie, however searching for 'Gillespie' brings up nothing. But if you search 'George Gillespie' you get them.
-The Life of Andrew Melville (2 vols.): Searching for 'Melville' takes you straight to Classic Baptist Books—Roger Williams Heritage Archive which would have Melville turning in his grave! But a search for 'Andrew Melville' finds him.
Sometimes search doesn't work at all:
- The Works of Adam Clarke: Search in vain for either 'Clarke' or 'Adam Clarke' - you won't find them! Instead it seems to think you're looking for: 'Frederic Clarke Putnam'
But perhaps the above are just quirks as mostly a simple surname search works, eg:
- The Letters and Journals of Robert Baillie (3 vols.): search for 'Baillie' and you'll find it
- Similarly, a simple surname search works for most other open CPs I have, eg: Fairbairn, Wylie, Doddridge, Rollock.
But there are enough quirks in the above sample to make me worry that I could be missing out on some CPs because a search you would expect to work hasn't (not to mention nearly missing out on a few because CPs don't show up on the mobile version of the site!).
