I wonder which base package(s) it's going to be in.
Probably Verbum, since exorcism seems to be a specialty of the Roman church and not widely practiced in evangelical Christianity, self-validating TV preachers and their gimmicks notwithstanding. Vampires are demon possessed according to literature, right?

First, we are joking in this thread, right? Second, I was speaking in terms of popular perception. No one calls the Methodist exorcist when vampires show up, at least in my admittedly limited experience with the subject.
definitely in the Pentecostal Starter base package.[8o|]

Let's give the Methodist more business:

For 11 hours I proclaimed the victory in Jesus, married a couple, prayed, counseled, halted a suicide attempt, led Holy Communion, encouraged, equipped, expelled demons, healed afflictions, consecrated objects to deliver, and ministered along God’s mighty angels. It was a physically challenging event as I was fasting along with being a little under the weather and for many hours we battled the powers of darkness that were in control of so many; which takes an incredible amount of spiritual energy.
For over an hour, at the beginning, of the service, I had everyone come up to the front to share their stories, it was a gut wrenching experience, to hear of the personal horror people were going through–demonic rape, forced participation in satanic ritualism, nightmares, and hellish torment. Many shared that if they didn’t receive a touch from God on this night that they would commit suicide. Many had exhausted every other avenue to receive liberation and this was their very last hope of getting well.
I think many were encouraged to hear that they were not alone in their personal battles with the enemy. Sure their stories were a little different but there was a common theme in each story, demons were active and were destroying their lives. I was determined to do everything within my power in Christ to stop the hellish wars that these dear people were encountering. Even my children got to attend the service briefly and my little son was so cute peering through the window watching daddy minister. I know he enjoys the deliverance ministry as he has assisted us in praying for demonized people.
A father was one of many who shared. He briefly recounted how his precious daughter was delivered of thousands of evil spirits the last time she attended our meeting and even shared a terrifying experience of seeing her daughter being killed by these demons and us having to bring her back from the dead at least 4 different times in Jesus precious name. I know many were encouraged to hear of the victory we have in Christ over the evil one. This was a special story as this daughter of his was to get married on this night.
After a little over an hour of sharing stories I married this dear lady who had to be raised from the dead. She was beautifully dressed and her smile was bright. This dear couple committed their lives to God and to each other in His love. Then we began to minister to those suffering from evil attacks. A spirit surfaced within a lady from the back of the sanctuary and as I approached her the demons cried out loudly and shrieked. I called for the angels of God and the ensuing battle was intense. For an hour we were warring against these vicious spiritual foes but the enemy bowed before the cross of Christ and was driven out as she vomited in the church. She was so relieved and cried out to Jesus.
Then another individual surfaced a demon and glared at me from the middle of the sanctuary. As I approached the 30 something old man, the demons drove the man out of his seat away from me and toward a dear friend of mine named James who was near the front of the church. In a hideous growl the demon asked him, “Do you want some of me” and they lunged with full force towards my friend causing him to fall backwards unto the pulpit and moving the heavy pulpit (this tells you alittle at how hard the spirit violently lunged at my friend. I’m sure some were thinking this was an insane, zoo-like environment but I know many were enjoying see demons being defeated. by the power of the Holy Spirit).
I called forth the holy angels once more and they assisted us in restraining the violent spirits and he fell to the floor withering viciously. We dripped anointing oil and sacred water upon the body and demons shrieked so loud that people in other rooms of the church heard the commotion. But the holy elements were VERY effective and drove the demons berserk and weakened their powers.
“We’re 3000 strong,” the demons growled to me.
I chuckled as I knew this spirit was no match to our King Jesus!
I made this demon confess that he was defeated.
He resisted, “I’m not weak but strong,” the demon loudly protested.
Again I poured the holy water upon him!
He weakened and shouted for me to stop, “It’s burning us!”
HA!
This time I threatened the spirit I would pour the blood of Christ upon him…
“NOOOOOOO!!!!! We are weak, we are going to hell” the demon conceded.
Once again Jesus prevails and makes a public spectacle of the defeated one.
What is your name I commanded the demon to tell me.
“Baphtoma and he is ours as he signed a blood oath,” he replied.
I then proceeded to create, on a piece of paper, a spiritual document that stated he was renouncing this satanic oath in Jesus name and a place for him to sign.
I called forth the man from the demonized coma state and encouraged him to sign the document thereby renouncing Satan and the bloody oath.
For many minutes we battled the demons that were trying to prevent him from signing. He finally signed the document and the demon was driven out in Jesus name!
Everyone was rejoicing and clapping as the demon fled as the power of Jesus prevailed!
Many others were manifesting evil demons….
For the next 8 hours we ministered to many and we expelled many demons!
One lady and her family traveled to be at the service who had been tormented for 6 plus years, on a near daily basis, by the devil. She was weary and wanted to be free.
We battled 17 different spirits within her, “Rage, Hate, Resident Evil, Sleeping, Sin, and many others.
I was impressed that her dear husband was present during the entire exorcism and I coached him in casting out several of the spirits out of his wife. Wanna talk about on-the-job training!!
One powerful spirit named, Jezebel, surfaced during the exorcism and stated that due to her rebellion to her husband he was able to maintain a presence within her life. After confessing her sins, I placed a prayer a consecrated head covering over her head and demon shrieked LOUDLY! It hated the head covering and grinded her teeth in agony as it could feel the presence of holy God on it (the apostle Paul refers to the spiritual significance of the head covering for women in his letter to the church in Corinth). The head covering greatly reduced the power of the demon and proceeded to drive it out after battling it over a period of time.
Another spirit named, “Sleeping” surfaced. It had gained access through a ancestor, 10 generations ago, as a result of their participation in Satanism and blood sacrifices.
“Why are you there?”
“I’m here because her ancestors sacrificed rats to Satan,” the demon revealed.
Upon her renunciation of her ancestors curses and sins, she was freed from the demon of sleeping that had caused her sleeping problems for years!
Then this dear lady’s husband was delivered of demons as was her little son!
God is gracious and loving. His love rescued so many and many dissociative identities surfaced within many for the very first time as we provided safe place for them to surface. However, I’m disappointed we didn’t have more time to minister to many others needing prayer. There were so many needing liberation but at 6am I was exhausted and needed to get some rest. I simply trust the dear people in God’s caring hands.
[:D] I love to poke holes in popular misconceptions. [:D]
not widely practiced in evangelical Christianity
Really? I thought that was where they're most practised. Especially in Africa, of course, but also in the West. Prosperity Gospel circles seem particularly fond of them. I've encountered churches that considered it necessary to exorcise former Catholics, so that the little green devils would come out of them.[:S] And our resident Swedish megachurch pastor number one, the founder of a global network of about a quarter of a million members, used to be known for exorcising people who were ill, or had doubts, or just didn't agree with him enough. (Though he isn't really a pastor any more. He's now seen the light, and is about to become the possibly most high profile Evangelical convert the Catholic Church has ever received.[:)] We've had quite an interesting month since he announced it. (This is a guy who arranged prayer meetings against the pope's visit in 1989!))

If vampires show up, I would recommend calling a psychiatrist.[:)] Or simply shutting off the TV.[:P]
