Proclaim crashes when trying to upload video since latest update

I updated the suggest update and since then Proclaim crashes when trying to upload a video. Trying to get a video up for Sunday.

Yeah, you're not the only one having this issue.  I really hope that the support team is able to fix this by Thursday afternoon.  We've got services Thursday and Friday night, plus several on Sunday.  I'm growing more and more tired of these updates not working well on Mac.  I hate to say it but Easy Worship is starting to look pretty good again.

What do you mean 'followed up offline'?  Is there a fix for this?

I'm also using a Mac...sent a link to the video I'm trying to use, but it's any video at this point. Other file types have been ok.

In an interesting development, I was able to add a video already in my Proclaim library (I just thought I would try a video from a previous week), but now if I try to delete that video from my presentation Proclaim crashes.

Just jumping in now, not sure if Spencer has come to any resolution offline.

Daron and Steven - is the crashing behavior you're experiencing new as of the most recent release? Can you confirm you're running the latest version 1.21.0.397?

If you answered yes to both those questions then I would ask you to re install the previous version and see if you can still reproduce the crashes. Right now we're not able to reproduce any of the crashes in house and I don't see any crash reports making this more difficult to debug. 

  1. Remove Proclaim (latest version) from your Applications folder
  2. Download the previous version from http://downloads.proclaimonline.com/mac/dmg/Proclaim 1.21.387.dmg
  3. install and when Proclaim starts up and prompts you for the update select "Remind me later"

Once you're running the old version are you still able to reproduce the issues?

Yes, I've got OS 10.6.  I don't have my mac with me but will try to upload a log file later today or tomorrow.

Old version works great! Both issues (deleting a video from the presentation and uploading a video to the presentation) don't occur in the old version.

Looks like this issue is related to an underlying API different between OSX 10.6 and OSX 10.7 and later. We're working on a fix, should go out this afternoon. In the meantime you can continue to use the old version. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have had no issues with the latest update. However, I have OSX 10.9.2

I can delete all types of items, and I can upload videos and anything else I want.

A new version of Proclaim has been published which fixes this crash uploading videos on OS X 10.6.
