Support Suggestion #1: Default Logging toggled in the help menu

I have a boilerplate that pumps out directions to enable logging every time I hit a few keys. It looks like this:

[quote]Please enable Logging (http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging ).

Replicate the problem, but do not restart Logos until you've moved or uploaded your logs. (Logos rewrites logs when it starts).

Then upload your logs ( http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs) so we can take a look.

Thanks.

Today I noticed that Logos has a "report a problem" link in the help menu. Judging from how many times I've hit that boilerplate text It seems like either Logging should already be on by default, OR it should be a switch in the help menu "Turn on diagnostic logging" / "Turn off diagnostic logging" (Or both: default it to on).

From there I could make further suggestions which are perhaps more problematic, I'll save them for some other posts to keep them focused.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Good suggestion, but the default should be "off" because there is an overhead and we would have to include turning it off as a performance enhancement!

I will create a case for this suggestion.

I really don't want to have to agree with you Dave. But I do. [:p]

    Kind of.

An alternative would be to somehow make it plain obvious that Logging is an option, during the first login dialog:

    [quote]Username:

    Password:

    Turn on diagnostic logging? Y/N

That's probably more trouble than it's worth.
