Crying

I will miss that gentle man.  He prayed often for me and my family. He reminded me to love those I disagree with. His unique writing style was poetic and comforting to read. I am happy for Milford nd sad for his family and friends.

In these forums Milford came across a Christian gentleman. I found his quirky, gentle posts curiously calming. They left me feeling that I knew him better than I did. His gentle wisdom will be greatly missed.

Every blessing

Alan

Some of us may have known Milford well enough to wish to read his obituary and/or offer our condolences. http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=Milford-Murray&lc=3774&pid=171830678&mid=6057471 Such a gentle and wise soul shall be missed.

His always positive and cheerful spirit was a real inspiration to the rest of us. To Jack, and his family and the entire Logos community my thoughts are with you.

His passing has left me with an empty feeling, knowing that I will no longer hear his voice through his positive posts.

To those left behind to mourn his passing and miss his positive spirit, may you find peace and comfort during this time. Casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.

I have never cried before at the loss of someone I knew only online, but this time it did bring me to tears. (I did have one past experience of the death of someone from an online community, but didn't feel I knew and loved him as I did Milford).

He was such a peaceful and joyful presence on the forums. I will miss him a lot. I posted a condolence to his family on the legacy site, mentioning how much he impacted the lives of thousands of Logos users.

Milford, your rust-colored star has been exchanged for a gold star! Smile

Rest In Peace, Milford!                                  *smile*                     We will miss you!

But we will see you again someday!

My heart is broken for the loss of a dear Christian brother. I pray for peace for his family. I am thankful to have known Milford through the forums. May the joy he brought to these forums be upon him forever

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

I miss Milford.  But not for long. May God bless his family and friends with peace, comfort and gratitude that such a man brought God's blessing into so many lives.

This is indeed sad news for his family and others who knew him, including our community, but praise God he is home!  I pray that his family will find comfort in that truth.

Milford, you genuinely are missed by many. How sweet that now the Word that you labored so hard to know through His Word, you now know face-to-face.

Rosie, I too got misty eyes as I read of his passing and likewise did not know him personally.

I've mostly been a lurker on these forums but always knew when I saw a comment from Milford I was in for a positive/gentle message. Maybe it's because I'm only 25 but he always came across to me as the loving wise grandfather on this forum. What a great example for us all. I look forward to meeting him someday.

Me too.  Sad today.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to meet all those whose lives he changed already and continues to do so by happy thoughts of him ... wait ...

... that would be here.

Since there are two threads about Milford I decided to post this response from his daughter in both.

I was asked to post this appreciative note of thanks from Milford's daughter Johanna in response to all the wonderful posts from the Logos community on the guestbook in memory of Milford.

Message from Johanna Balleine ,

This is Johanna, Milford Murrays daughter. I just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for your message and also for leaving contact details. I would very much appreciate it if you could pass on a message to the larger Logos community to say thank you to all those who took the time to post the many kind and beautiful messages. It really touched us and I know my father would have been humbled. Despite his quirks, he was a wonderful man who loved his Lord (and loved his Logos *smile* and the fellowship he had with his online friends). We are grateful for those of that community that shared such lovely comments about him. I know he is in his heavenly home, but please continue to remember his family in your prayers as we come to terms with this immense loss. Yours in Christ
