I searched to find a comprehensive list or video of the gestures on the ipad. Can anyone help with all the possible commands.

You may have more responses if you post this in the iPhone/iPad forum. Not sure where you have already searched. There is quite a bit of material - videos, images, articles on the internet that I saw. You may have checked the current Pad User's Guide, but just in case here it is. Chapter 3 may be of help.
