5.2a Service Release 5 (5.2.1.0149) is available for download.
If you have automatic updates turned on, 5.2a SR-5 will be downloaded automatically the next time your system checks for updates. To install it right away, enter the Update Now command. If you encounter problems with the auto update, download SR-5 using the appropriate link:

Release Notes
The Release Notes don't mention any changes for Windows L5. Are there any? If not, why do Windows users need to do the update with the 80 meg download, restart, and possible indexing?
That's a huge download!
mm.
Just to say for the first time ever I'm having an error message show up suggesting the download cannot find a file - anyone any ideas please. Thanks Gerald

(If you have not done so yet) I would at least try to re-down load.
Others will have more detailed instructions/suggestions.

One solution I found online is:
I would suggest you to perform System File Check (SFC), and then check if this fixes the issue. Follow the steps: a. Press “Windows Key + Q” to open Charms Bar. b. Type “cmd” without quotes in the search box. c. On the left pane, right click on the “cmd” option and select “Run as Administrator”. d. Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit enter. Note: It may ask for windows installation DVD to fix and to enable SFC to make more than minor repairs.
Icon in task bar went blank (again). Typical of most updates. Minor annoyance but would like it to be fixed before v.6

Are we talking about 2 differing releases?
You have referenced a beta release but this thread started as: 5.2b Release 5
[they do appear to have come out at the same time? Coincidence or the "same" thing under a different title?
SteveF:Are we talking about 2 differing releases?
Yes. The beta 5.2b will be the successor to 5.2a when it goes "Gold" i.e. when released to users via the Logos 5 forum. In the meantime 5.2a can be enhanced via "Service Releases" such as this one (SR-5)
Hi Dave
Tried your suggestion but still comes up with this error message:
Error Writing to File:
c:\Users\Gerald\AppData\Local\Logos5\System\Logos.Touchpoints.dll
Verify that you have access to that directory. (Do have access to this file and also it contains a file called Logos.Touchpoints.dll)
Hope this helps
Gerald

I got this update two days ago. No problems other than the one I was whining about here a bit back with the prerequisites.
I've had Support on this system three times and finally they found a corruption in the Registry regarding installation. One will have to wait till another update comes tearing down the tubes to see if all will be well. I have been indecisive as what to do about this whole thing ... now I'm just not sure anymore.
In other words, dont download this update yet!
