And the $0.99 book is Walter Brueggemann's David’s Truth: In Israel’s Imagination and Memory.

Two very good books by Brueggemann IMHO.

Could someone post links?  I know there are links to the monthly free books, but I do not know them.

Blessings,

Presumably, you would want to wait to see if you won the collection first. Stick out tongue

Check again, it works for me, but I'm not interested in that collection anyway.  There might be one other book from him I'll buy in the future, but anyway, yes, dynamic pricing works.

Presumably he would need to be signed in and click on the product to see the dynamic pricing work.  For example, I searched for Lutheran Bronze package (I already own starter), when the search returns, I see the normal 600 something price, but when I click on the product to read the details or add to cart, that's when dynamic pricing kicks in...but again, you have to be signed in to see it, because everybody at one point or another always forgets they need to be signed in to see different prices.  It happens to me, not so much any more, but every now and then it will happen.

I can confirm that it does indeed work.

Resources that are free have dynamic pricing reduction of $ 0.00 => http://community.logos.com/forums/p/84621/593569.aspx#593569

Not if they are not normally free, i.e. free books of the month do reduce the associated collections dynamic pricing.

When this month's $ 0.00 and $ 0.99 pricing returns to regular price in July, will be interesting to see if dynamic pricing changes (or uses your order history so a reduced price purchase has reduced dynamic price).

March 2014 Free Book =>https://www.logos.com/product/40728/bonhoeffer-for-armchair-theologians is no longer $ 0.00 and reduces $ 139.95 sale price for collection => https://www.logos.com/product/35478/armchair-theologians-series

In contrast, April 2014 Free book => https://www.logos.com/product/23760/jesus-and-scripture has no impact on $ 107.95 collection price => https://www.logos.com/product/10048/jesus-studies-collection

It's really great to see Logos offering a free book by Brueggemann. (And one of his best, at that!)

Then what are you doing on the Internet? It's not very conducive to keeping the Sabbath holy. It isn't just buying things online that you should avoid. Technological dissipation is a sure way to ruin your Shabbat. Granted, I'm not a good example to follow. But then again I don't make any claim to keep Shabbat religiously as you do.

Fasil:

Yes, Eugene Peterson is one of my favorite authors/mentors, and I particularly like his thoughts on Sabbath, and the way he lives it in his life. He and his wife Jan started observing Sabbath some decades ago when their kids were still at home, and they have always kept that up since. That practice has made him so humble and attentive to God and God's creation. I've been sporadic about it, but not as consistent as he is and as I would like to be. Thank you for the reminder.

EDIT: BTW, I was incredulous when I saw who they put up as "Related Authors" on that website where you got the quote. The only thing they all have in common is they are/were American Clergymen. But Eugene Peterson is as different from Joel Osteen, Norman Vincent Peale, and Robert Schuller as night is from day.

I've just got done reading the best book (sermon) I've ever heard on the Sabbath, by Robert Candish called Man's Right to the Sabbath. Unfortunately it's only available as part of his works in Logos for now. But it is excellent.
