CRASH: Close All

5.2b Beta 2 Mac OS 10.9.3

Typed Cmd-Opt-W to close all windows. They all closed, but also got an Apple Crash Report, and Logos closed everything. The active layout contained two floating windows on a secondary display, one of which was the Library.

Tried this same scenario again with the same results. Closed all floating windows and tried Cmd-Opt-W again. This time, Logos worked as advertised (i.e., no crash)

    Jack,

Can you provide more information as to what you had open in the main and floating windows?

    Thanks,

As I am prone to change layouts several times a day—and this crash was a week ago—I cannot speak with confidence as to the contents of the layout. The only thing I can say for certain is that the Library window was open in a 3/4 screen floating window on the secondary display (23" Apple Cinema Display).

Awakened this morning to an Apple Crash Report. Since I have your attention in this thread, I will not start a new one.

    For this crash:

Main window on the 27" iMac

    Secondary Display (23" ACD)

Behind the front floating windows on the secondary display were two more floating windows:

I apologize for inserting that extraneous post on a different crash, should have created a new thread.

Found a layout that can reliably create the Cmd-Opt-W (Close All) crash. Took several screen shots to show all windows and enclosed them in a zip file.

The Layouts db—even compressed—is too large to attach to a post. If it will be of any assistance, I can make it available via DropBox.

The one constant in most—if not all—of these crashes is the presence of the Library floating window on the secondary display. It is expanded to cover most of the 23" screen.

I'm working on trying to reproduce the crash, but if you could email the Layouts.db to logosbugs AT logos.com, or post to Dropbox if you prefer, that would indeed be useful.

Safari did not like my first attempt, so here is the LayoutManager.db

Let me know if this worked. I have included logs, screenshots, and the LayoutManager.db

Well that did not go. Will try again with a smaller zip

Do you need anything else? This crash has also happened with other layouts. The one constant seems to be the Library floating window. The crash does not occur with this window alone. It seems to crash in combination with others, but I have not been able to isolate them.

Thank you for all your logs and screen shots. This is an issue with the Library Panel that will be fixed in the next beta.
