I'm glad the choice was made to not include an X on every tab, I agree that it may be a little confusing at first, but in terms of screen space I think that in this case the change in workflow is worth the hassle ...big clunky toolbars at the top of everything is one thing from 3.0 I will not miss.
I'm accidently deleting files when clicking on the ‘X’ button under the Notes tab (maybe I need to get used to it) as it can be mistaken for the close button; solution, either a undo tab or have it to have a message that pops up asking confirm deleting.

Does everyone have a middle mouse button/wheel? I do, but I'm not certain that everyone does.
Come to think of it, on my laptop I have a center button, but on two other laptops in the house I do not.
You might need a work-a-round for this one for the non center-button-mouse people.
Ctrl-F4 will close the currently active tab, as well.

Try using Ctrl+Z to 'undo' the deletion of a note. Ctrl+Y works for 'redo'.
