It is no longer an option to turn on in Word 10 when I select File | Options | AutoCorrect Options | Actions

Any suggestions how to restore them?

Thanks,

Bill

I have it working fine on the Beta, running Word 2010 on the Windows 10 tech preview

Thanks, Frank.

Hi Dave,

EDIT 1st response: I tried the section on issues with 32 bit office & 64 bit logos. The 1st key wasn't in my registry.

So I opened a command prompt window & kept changing the directory until it was in the folder to Logos.exe. Then I typed logos5.exe/register & logos5.exe /register (couldn't tell if instruction had a space or not). Both times, error message was the same:

'logos5.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file.

What now?

OK, finally broke the code & got it registered... Still no joy.

Here are the instructions I've tried to follow, & the results I got:

Logos 5.3 and higher is 64-bit and it installs the Smart Tag for 32-bit Office. Problems can arise from earlier 32-bit installations so troubleshoot as follows (provided you are comfortable with editing the Registry):

  1. Does “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{319A0316-DF84-4B3C-8117-349B7E98E613}” exist? If not, run C:\Path\To\Logos5\Logos.exe /register from a Command Prompt (note that your installation folder could be \Logos4).

This key didn't exist on my machine before or after running the register switch with Logos.exe.

  2. Does “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{319A0316-DF84-4B3C-8117-349B7E98E613}” exist? If so, delete it.

This key existed & was deleted.

  3. “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{81490292-5570-4D02-A2AC-7B828DBD0A8A}\1.0\0\win64” should exist and contain the path to the 64-bit LogosCom.exe.

This key existed & appeared to be correct.

  4. If “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{81490292-5570-4D02-A2AC-7B828DBD0A8A}\1.0\0\win32” exists, delete it.

This key existed & was deleted.

For 32-bit Office and the 32-bit Smart Tag, “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{1FDDE0F5-2C2A-4FEF-B041-6C759464E9DA}” should exist, and the InprocServer32 subkey should reference the Logos location of L4SmrtTg.dll.

It existed but did not point to the location of L4SmrtTg.dll.

If not, run regsvr32 C:\Path\To\Logos5\System\L4SmrtTg.dll from a Command Prompt to re-register it.

Each time I ran regsvr32 \L4SmrtTg.dll in the system folder, it gave this error:

Yet here's a picture showing the file in the directory (at bottom of picture):

Now what?

Grace & Peace,
Bill

BillS:
Each time I ran regsvr32 \L4SmrtTg.dll in the system folder, it gave this error:

The command is regsvr32 L4SmrtTg.dll  because you are already in the \System folder.

BillS:
Does “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{319A0316-DF84-4B3C-8117-349B7E98E613}” exist? If not, run C:\Path\To\Logos5\Logos.exe /register from a Command Prompt (note that your installation folder could be \Logos4).

This key didn't exist on my machine before or after running the register switch with Logos.exe.

In your Command Prompt, change the path so that the last folder is \Logos5 and type the command  Logos.exe /register

Updated to 5.3 Beta 4 (5.3.0.1162), & Smart Tags disappeared again.

Followed same steps & they're back again.

Hope it doesn't do this when the beta goes into production, or Support is going to get lots of calls!

Grace & Peace,
Bill

I'm not sure what smart tags are, or how they benefit a logos user?

Can someone enlighten me?

Support is going to get lots of calls!

They're going to be very quick calls because "Smart Tags are unsupported" (https://www.logos.com/articleviewer/530
