Payment plans were first introduced by Logos a few years ago. As I remember it, it was done very carefully, because Logos did not want to push anyone to purchase something that they could not afford. You could only get short term plans, and only for orders above certain amount. It pains me that I did not keep the announcement, so I cannot be too certain about the particulars. In any case the focus seems to have shifted. Purchasing Logos products on payment plans is now the norm, and you can spread it over as much as 18 months if it is expensive enough.

Now, don't get me wrong. This is a great feature, and I am in no doubt that it is essential for the Logos in order to survive. However, I would like to see some of that initial focus preserved. That would bring us to Book cache. This is really a much better feature, and it can be cancelled if you can no longer afford it. Perhaps in the future you will also be able to adjust the monthly amount, billing date and even skip a month if your budget is stretched. Those are just by-the-way suggestions, and I believe they should be considered as essential.

What I like to suggest is that you could commit to buy, e.g. a Mobile.Ed PrePub as soon as your credit balance allows for it. That way you could make use of limited time offers, without the pressure or the fees of a payment plan. On the other hand you would have to wait, and you might loose the commitment if you wait too long or if you cancel the subscription.

I know there is a lot of people out there who understand the business side of things better than I. That is not for me to decide, but I am suggesting that customer care is worth something as well. Furthermore I think putting money in the Logos bank should also deserve a reward. In fact, I have made some suggestions to that point before.

I am adding "Add rewards for book cache subscribers" as an UserVoice suggestion. Click here in order to see the suggestion.

Best regards.

I think this is a brilliant idea.
