I am, playing around with a new group a new group for my church. Right now I am at a location where I only have one computer so I want to know how to set up so I am the only one who has permission to change my settings, in other words to have administrative privileges.

Also I for some reason I cannot see how to delete calendar events.

Any help would be most appreciated,

Michael

Just to clarify, are you saying that other people have access to your computer, but that you want to make sure they can't make changes to your group?

To delete a calendar event, go to "calendar" and click on the wheel to the right:

Click "edit calendar item" and then delete.

Thanks Ryan. My eyesight is getting poor and I was overlooking the settings required to delete a calendar event. The answer to my other qustion centers primarily  people from other computers. Can they go in and LTER MY SETTINGS?

Still having some Calendar issues. I went in and deleted an event for April 3rd, a 1 hour event and it appeared deleted. I created a new event on April by  the same name on April 4th but as an all day event and when I switch tabs and come back to the calendar the event show up on April 3 again as a 1 hour event. Any ideas?

No Michael, one has to be logged in under your login to alter your setting. So unless you are sharing your account login with others they are safe.

As for the calendar issue it may be that you need to refresh the page, it may be that a synchronization process has not completed.

I just created 3 all day events for January. Jan. 18, 24 and 31 and neither show up as all day events and all show up in the calendar on the previous day. What gives? The dates are being selected from the drop-down calendar.

The calendar events show up as all-day events in the side-bar to the right but have times showing if you click on the date and view in the center of the screen. Also, I noted that each event displayed in the sidebar have a different color dot to the left of the event. I was hoping to use this for upcoming guest speakers as well as birthdays and anniversaries.

also have just noted that if I view the calendar in month view that they are also showing the wrong date a showing a time instead of all-day but a;; the dots are the same color.

Have also noted that recurring events such as birthdays or anniversaries show up on the correct date but not as all-day events. they still show a time. Also noted that recurring eventsdon't seem to display under the list of events under calendar on the sidebar.
