Tom Philpot:
but on the Mac Pros or new iMacs, indexing should be faster.

Faster is better.

I'm having the same problems. Have tried reinstalling and does not fix it. Where is the rebuild index command? I don't understand how to do this. Thanks.

Rebuild Index is a tool that shows in command window after enough is typed:

Have Fun Smile

I've found the "Rebuild Index", selected it, and nothing happens.

Can take up to 5 or 10 minutes for the logos icon to appear in the menu bar with no feedback until then

I'm having the indexer start every time I launch Logos 4 in A12 and I think I know why: AppTrap. In previous updates, I've usually had the AppTrap dialog pop up asking me if I wanted to Move Files or Leave Files and I've selected Move Files (to the trash). With this update I decided to leave the files and I'm having the indexer run every time.

Here's what the AppTrap window looks like:

I'm going to test my theory by downloading the A12 build again and choosing to "Move Files" this time. I'll report back later on whether or not it works.

I wasn't able to get the "Move Files" option come up when I downloaded the dmg file, so I guess I'll have to wait to test my theory until A13 is released.
