I am a developer working on a website for online bible lessons for children.  We are using JPG files within a flash "Page Flip"  utility for the presentation of the lessons.  Because of this the Scripture references are all in a graphic file.  I really like the idea of the tool-tip mouse over for the whole verse(s) to come up though.

I can pull the page with a Scripture reference up in flash and make a "symbol" in flash to execute javascript from the html page that called lesson up.

So the question I have is, Is there any way to manually pass the reference into javascript to be looked up rather than automatically having it find it?

I'd really rather not have to copy and paste or type in all the scripture references in all the lessons.  I think I could make them work as a click and separate window coming up, but I really would like the mouse-over to work.

Thanks for any ideas.

Tim

RefTagger requires a DOM anchor element to attach the tooltip to. You might be able to hack something together if you can insert an anchor tag into the page & position it absolutely where you want the tooltip to appear. Then set the "lbsReference" attribute on the anchor tag to the reference you want to look up, and attach the mouseover and mouseout events to:

Logos.ReferenceTagging.lbsTooltipMouseOver, and Logos.ReferenceTagging.lbsTooltipMouseOut.

RefTagger was not designed to be able to do this, so I don't know how much luck you'll have.
