Go to the following web site and click on the order number for your recent purchase. If there are any instructions there, follow them. If it still doesn't work, there is a phone number to call for assistance.

https://www.logos.com/user/MyOrders

(This assumes that you purchased the book with the same Logos ID you use to open Logos4.)

Did you buy this as the (already issued) stand alone ESV or did you order the ESV + ESV Study Bible Notes (which is still on pre-pub for the same price as the stand alone ESV).   http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/5252

May be worth a chat with Customer Service as you may be lined up to pay for ESV twice.

Did you try my suggestions? If so, what were the results?

Gregory-

The ESV comes bundled with quite a few other books. You will not find Logos particularly powerful if the only book you have is the ESV. Rather, you may want to look at getting one of the base packages where you could get quite a few more Bibles and some other books for not much more. You'd probably want to call customer support and have them give you a refund for the $40 ESV and apply that toward a purchase of a Bible Study library which will include the ESV, as well as the reverse interlinear ESV so you can see (and run powerful tools on) the Hebrew & Greek behind the text. And you will have a bunch of other Bibles too, which will let you start to see the power of Logos.

Hope that is helpful. Let us know if you have any questions.

I have Logos Platinum.

I downloaded and updated the ESV from My site on Logos.  It still hasn't updated the ESV version.

Why did you buy the ESV, if you already have the ESV?

What 'version' of the ESV are you talking about? As far as I know there's only one ESV version that Logos sells and it's the same one it sells in it's base packages.

If you own platinum you already own the ESV. No need to repurchase.

I understand from what you're saying that you want the ESV with the most up-to-date revisions. As soon as Logos has the rights, you will automatically get the most up-to-date version. My understanding though is that the version we have is most up-to-date. THis is the version I have. What about you (click on the upper right ESV logo to tell):

Thats the same version I have.  I purchased what I thought was the latest version available as the new ESV Study is not ready.  Here is what I purchased:

In other words you bought something you already had. If you can manage to sound really sheepish, you may get Logos to refund you for your purchase.

Richard is correct, basically the reason that nothing downloaded is that it did not need to; you already had the resource.

You may also want to review your pre-pub order for the ESV Study Bible: all you need is the "notes", as the full package includes yet another copy of the ESV...

ESV study bible with another copy of ESV : http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/5252

ESV Study Bible (notes) for those who already have ESV : http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/5254

Is that a Anglican Church of Southern Africa logo I see ??  Calling customer service from there might not be too easy, especially given a 30 to 40 minute wait on hold before actualy speaking to someone.....   An email might be easier......

Let me throw a couple of things out here as I was not aware that Package owners get updates.

At present, the copy of ESV in my library has a red cover with a copyright date of 2001

I bought, the copy of ESV that has a White and Black cover listed here http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/ESV.  I thought this was an updated copy.

I also purchased, the latest version, Black and Red Cover that is not ready but in Pre-Pub.

My understanding is the only difference between the Black and White & the Black and Red versions is that the later is a study bible.  So, I figured I would be getting the latest and greatest copy.

So my expectation was to have a Black & White boxed version in my Logos and not a red box version from 2001.

Dear Gregory, I'm sure many of us are sorry for the confusion you have faced over these (apparently) differing items.

You are correct that the "red cover" has a copyright date of 2001. But if you load it and then click on the "circle with the I' - resource information button (at the right side of the esv resource panel) an "About ESV panel" loads. About half way down and the Copyright 2001 section is repeated twice. BUT then there is a line that reads "ESV Text Edition 2007."

First, I agree that this may not be the easiest thing to find. And secondly, it probably is open to confusion as to why there are these two "conflicting" dates within 3 lines of each other.  Publishers (conflicting and confusing and unfortunately, sometimes just plain "in-correct") Metadata information continues to be an issue of debate here on the Forum.

Like you, I am also waiting for the "Notes" module of this Study Bible to be released for Logos.

All the best,

Regards, SteveF
