I have been running into this problem for the past few months and it is becoming increasingly annoying.

I will be highlighting a portion of a passage in Scripture and want to highlight only a phrase, but the program keeps snapping to a word before or after where I want to start/end the highlight.

To see if you can reproduce what I am saying, I will use Acts 25:4 as an example. Here is the text:

Festus replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea and that he himself intended to go there shortly.

Now, I want to highlight only "Paul was being kept at Caesarea" and make a note about that phrase. But, when I try to only highlight that phrase, Logos keeps snapping to the word "and" at the end, so my highlighted text becomes, "Paul was being kept at Caesarea and".

Is there a way to turn off snapping? Is it trying to snap to words that the Greek are translated? I just don't get it.

Worst "feature" ever... go to the preferences and turn off smart text selection.

This was fixed in Logos 6.4: https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_6.4#Program_Settings

If you're not running the latest version, you can install it from here: https://www.logos.com/install

Thank you, Dan and Bradley, for your replies. It is so good to know there is a way to disable this setting. I will definitely check that I have the latest version, and will check that setting. Then go back and fix all the wrong highlights in my Acts study. :-)

Thank  I you again for your assistance.
