Rino M. Dattilo: Here is my ultimate question: How can you help me to get this to work, for myself and others? I have followed your directions so I am humbly asking for help. I will do what you ask of me. I understand that you have to work with the OS. All I am saying is "if" others are having it work with the OS, how can we? And a BIG Thank you for responding.

Gathering logs may contain information as to why it is not working for you. You can make sure that logging is enabled, run the application, try to use the service and then collect all the logs, including the Console logs. The logging utility referenced here can be used to enable logging and will archive the Logos and Console logs for you to upload.

OK... walked thru the whole process. removed the LogosApp to trash, emptied trash, rebooted... downloaded latest Logos Mac dmg, did the 'install' thing, and then rebooted.
Started Logos and Word. was able to do the copy and paste FROM the Copy Bible Verses window in Logos... checked Word, the copy Verses and replace with passage services listed and checked.
Not work :-( It continues to shift the focus to Logos and just hang for a minute. then shift focus back to Word but no copying done... This is the third time I have walked thru this, proving that I am crazy for continuing to do the same thing and expecting different results.
Any other suggestions??????? Hugh
Hugh,
Please see my comments right above your post about gathering logs.
OK . turned on the logging and restarted Logos. did the copy and paste from within Logos to Word and it works.
Tried replace with passage service from within Word ... nothing.
Tried the copy bible verses from within Word ... nothing.

Logos 6.7 Beta 2 Mac OS 10.11
Quit Logos and emptied the Logging folder. Restarted Logos and the Logging Utility. Opened MS Word to a blank document and typed John 3:16. Clicked Sample in the Logging Utility and tried Replace With Passage from the MS Word Services Menu. Focus shifts to Logos, but nothing was added to the Word document. Logos also refused to surrender focus for several seconds (15-20).

Enabled Copy Bible Verse from the MS Word Services Preferences. Clicked Sample in the Logging Utility and selected Copy Bible Verses in the MS Word Services Menu. Focus shifted to Logos. Again Logos refused to surrender focus for several seconds preventing me from returning to MS Word for 15-20 seconds. When I could shift focus to Word discovered that the CBV process had duplicated the text John 3.16.

Quit Logos and archived logs.

It looks like for all three of you, the OS is trying to connect to com.faithlife.LogosLauncher, which is the application from Logos 6.4. From Terminal can you please run the following command and attach the services.txt file from your desktop?
/System/Library/CoreServices/pbs -dump_pboard > ~/Desktop/services.txt
Here you go! And Martin - seriously - thank you!
3000.services.txt

Thank you everyone for the services files; they all look correct. If you can run the following from Terminal and attach the resulting logos.txt file from your desktop, it would be appreciated?
mdfind "kMDItemCFBundleIdentifier == 'com.logos.Logos' || kMDItemCFBundleIdentifier == 'com.faithlife.LogosLauncher'" > ~/Desktop/logos.txt
ROUND #2 - 1348.logos.txt
