I measured the bar on the screen and calculated it is 56%.

I really would like to see accurate numbers and the daily changes, in a diagram like the stock prices, that would make prepubs and community pricing more exciting!

Now I measured the bar again, and it looks like it is 62%

Still need more I know but gets a few more each month... by this time next year we will have it... unless somehow FL decides it is important enough to be put into some sort of package... then we might see it even quicker...

That would be problematic and cause customer confusion / disenchantment because this resource is not licensed to be sold outside of United States and Canada.

One of my friends is a tunnel view cryptobiblicist lutheran and he says that NJB is liberal. But he uses it anyway.

I think all publishers of NJB should celebrate that attitude and make NJB available for Logos users globally.

But for many years the Catholic Catechism was US Canada only heck for a a few months anyway it was US only... I want FL to get world wide rights for the NJB but do not see it's limitations being as a major barrier to a package, in the sameway other NA only works have been in packages before.

And that is one of the reasons we need this in Logos... It is of such a high quality even its detractors will not ignore it but take advantage of it.

Dan you don't see it as a problem because you want this resource and you are not being prevented from getting it. For those of us who are locked out it is a problem, particulay given this company's recent track record with getting things wrong. I don't trust them to handle this properly.

I find that rather funny because I know people who consider it conservative. Smile I suspect that it depends upon what attribute you use to determine the liberal/conservative label.

Yes I agree with you Doc it should be available to all... that said it being available to NA customers seems like a good start... I am not saying FL should not be trying hard to achieve world wide rights, indeed with them I can see this being under contract much quicker. I am in no position to know if FL would ever work to gain the rights but one would guess they would like to have them. Accordance seems to have no restriction on their text so DLT must be willing to play ball with NA software companies. Why has FL never gotten the rights is something I do not know. But that fact alone leads one to feel that them seeking world rights may not happen. Believe me I want this available for all... but will not stop trying to get it for NA users,  partially because I have no idea what I could do to push FL to getting world wide rights.

This is just a duplicate post from another thread:

BUMP... We need a lot of movement to get this fine work into Logos.

Four reasons to get the NJB complete.

1) The NJB is quite simply a literary masterpiece. It communicates the Bible in a way that is hard to explain I remember one protestant minster telling me back in the early 90's that it was the most accurate translation since the KJV... Now one can take that statement as you will, but the truth of the matter is the quality of the translation and poetic stylings make this a work that speaks to ones soul. Without the notes you are left with singing and no music. The notes explain things give valuable references.

2) The notes indeed the entire project was done primarily by scholars living in the Holy Land at the École Bibliotech living there offers them insights that can easily be missed by those from away.

3)This work is widely respected not only by Roman Catholics but also many protestant bodies and even in non-religious circles as a good Bible to study and use for reference.

4)While used by many it is written from a catholic perspective although very little dogma ever makes it into the notes, the authors took seriously the wider canon and refer to it. For example quite often Paul's virtual quoting of the wisdom of solomon is over looked. The NJB notes do make note of this... That is not to try to say Paul believed Wis. to be scripture but it is nice to see where some of his quotations are coming from.

The lack of this full edition in Logos feels much like an orchestra missing a violin. Logos functions well without it but there is definitely something missing, please consider getting it, it may be the best $16 you have spent to expand the breadth of your logos library. If you are protestant if gives you a solid look into catholic scholarship, if you are RC is gives you one of the finest study Bibles the Catholic Church has ever produced. Thank you for your time and please have a blessed advent season.

This is my favorite Bible of ALL TIME. If I could pre-order more than one copy to speed up the process I would do so.

Help us out please. Embarrassed

If you know other people who use the software but haven't pre-ordered this (and won't), you could...

Dan I am happy for NA customers to get this title even if the rest of us miss out. Keep pushing this to front and centre and maybe one day the rest of us can add it to our library. I just don't feel comfortable with split base packages based on geographic location.
