The app should auto update, but you can always download the latest release from: http://www.logos.com/logos4mac

General

Quite a bit has changed in this release, a trend that I expect will continue in upcoming releases. Things that have been stable in previous releases should remain stable unless otherwise noted. However, new areas may be not-so-stable and are likely incomplete. So, if you choose to go spelunking in these areas, know that the likelihood of crashing and/or hanging increases.

Additionally, over the next few releases, we're going to be exploring, in stages, improvements to the overall look & feel of the app. This includes colors, shading, shadowing in-app iconography (not the Dock icon), etc.

Settings Panel

  • most preferences hooked up and working (live updating)
  • “Reset Defaults” button working

Favorites

  • adding favorites
  • adding folders
  • dragging items into folders
  • launching items

Home Page

  • Rss items on the Home Page now contain their associated image
  • Book of the Day Home Page item has been added

(Bible) Explorer

  • People, Places and Things
  • Media
  • Cross References
  • Commentaries

Guides

  • An initial, but very limited implementation of Word By Word section has been added to the Exegetical Guide
  • Commentary title links now work if the width of the panel is less than the length of the title. Cross References section title links still have issues if the title string is longer than the width of the panel.
  • Media Resource paging now works correctly

Biblical People

  • Person text area now has clickable links
  • Diagram context menu items enabled and working (Copy, Print, Save, Send to Keynote...)
  • Tooltips on Diagram nodes  that are navigatable
  • Tooltips on Diagram previews
  • Now highlight the person of interest when a new diagram is shown
  • Show blank Biblical People Panel with informational text (same as windows) if missing one of the the required resources.

Search Panel

  • Clickable reference links in all Bible Search views
  • Reference links are styled correctly
  • Bible Search Grid View Selectable and highlighted resource columns
  • Bible Search Grid View Clickable result hit boxes
  • Bible Search Grid View Proper coloring of result hit boxes (Bordered, Full, No Result)
  • Bible Search Grid View Paging by reference
  • Bible Search Grid View Verse results change with selected resource column

Indexing

  • Fixed a few memory leaks during indexing.

Resource Display

  • Fixed a bug where lines with small caps caused line spacing issues in resources. Fixes issues with Bibles which used Lord in small caps in the OT.
  • Fixed links in tables that affected portions of NLT Study Bible and Bible Knowledge Commentary
  • Added support for Greek/Hebrew morph information on word mouseover
  • Dragging a horizontal boundary line no longer causes the application to crash

Known Issues

Settings Panel

  • still needs the “Hidden Resources” section
  • some preferences don't affect the content yet (e.g. “Program Scaling”)
  • clipping issues when the Settings Panel has too narrow of a size

General

  • Closing tab panels sometimes causes the app to hang, particularly with Guides. This is a bug with a third party open source framework we are using. We are working with the open source community to resolve this bug (Yes, Jack, this is the BBOD bug that is still here). This should happen less frequently, though.
  • Having your default text size set above 100% will have undesirable results in some panels (Information, Reading Plan Tool)
  • No Greek/Hebrew tense/mood information will show in the Resource Display if your mouse is already over the panel when it loads.

Favorites

  • items inside folders can't be manipulated (dragged or launched)

(Bible) Explorer

  • People Places and Things and Media do not support drag and drop of items
  • Drag and drop for Commentaries is not reliable. Have not been able to consistently duplicate problem.
  • My Content is not implemented
  • No context menus

!!! Biblical People/Places/Things

  • These panels (even the unimplemented ones) leak memory.
