On some resources, the text is displayed incorrectly to the end that the line spacing is too small and random words are italicized.
This is a screenshot from Let the Nations Be Glad by John Piper.
Welcome to the forums. Have you double checked that you have no visual filters on?
who is Frances S. Adeney and why does his name appear in the author's bio for Let the Nations be Glad?
who is Frances S. Adeney
The strict answer is to google for that name!
It is an error where the book is authored by John Piper, but it should have been the subject of a new thread.

I posted in this thread because I found the error when I clicked on the link in the original post of this thread.
Ouch! Sorry, David.

No apologies necessary. I just thought if somebody was checking into the resource, they may want to fix this while they were at it. However I understand that the webpage is probably a different department at Faithlife than the coders who would address a display issue.
Thanks MJ!
I don't have any visual filters on.
According to Faithlife, Frances is a woman, professor and writer:

Doug, sorry I do not have this resource. I checked a few other Piper works I have and did not find this problem. Hopefully someone with this specific resource can check their copy for you.
yes, it looks like a filter on "and, is, the" rather than truly random which is why we really need someone with the reference.
There are other issues. The resource won't space lines according to Program Settings and doesn't display the page number box.
It looks like a Vyrso ebook, even though this is a Logos resource.

That would explain a lot. Faithlife uses publisher-supplied files and applies light tagging to produce Vyrso editions. They do not correct the text. The source files must have these odd pieces of text.
I will inquire with our Content Production team to find out if an updated version of this resource is available to be published.
Doug: I'm not able to replicate your findings. Could you give me the support info on the back of the about panel? e.g.:

Thanks! This is really helpful. We make a huge update of that resource in 2014 but it looks like the updates were never pushed out to users. It will be pushed out to users on our next resource update day on May 31st.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience but thank you for bringing it to our attention.

(queue Seinfeld paraphrase...)
You know how to make the updates, but you don't know how to push the updates. And that's really the most important part of the update.

I've had similar issues for some time (not on that book, but on seemingly random ones... it's an issue that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the resource itself). I've noticed that sometimes when I select some words and than highlight them, it somehow 'resets' the text, ant the weird italicizing goes away... or sometimes it just changes which words are italicized.
Very weird, and sometimes hard on the eyes...
Michael
It would be helpful if you started a new thread with a screenshot of the text.
