I would like to look at all the verbal lemmas used when Jesus gives a comman. I thought a clause search might gather these for me. My search string was: subject:Jesus verb-morph:V??M. The hits weren't what I was expecting, Matt 4:3 (for example) isn't really what I want, nor 4:21. How might I search for the lemmas associated with commands given by Jesus?

Thanks.

Clint

One idea is creating a passage list for {Speaker <Person Jesus>} then search for imperatives.

Edit: the two searches can be combined:

@V??M WITHIN {Speaker <Person Jesus>}

This is a good start, but not all commands are imperatives. Instead you can use:

{Section <PropositionalOutline = Command>} WITHIN 0 WORDS {Speaker <Person Jesus>}

Another alternative is to create a Passage List of verses that included Jesus' speech, and then search that passage list for

<LogosMorphGr ~ V???????> WITHIN {Section <PropositionalOutline = Command>}

Then switch to analysis view and group by lemma:

That's probably the most helpful of all, I suspect.

Thanks for the help! There are instances of commands using future indicatives so I like the broad morphological filter. I appreciate your willingness to help.

I assume there must be details on the PropositionalOutline tags on the wiki?

No, it's in your library:
