Damian McGrath:
Is it possible to re-order the "quotes" view so that it follows the same order as the other views.?

Don't think so

I have a note file with a few dozen quotes, so tried the different sort options, and as near as I can tell, none of the search options has any effect on the order of notes in Quotes view.

Have you tried changing the note style from "Full" to "Quotes"? It usually will give me the title and cover image of the missing resource, even if it shows blank because I'm missing the license

Andrew,

Thank you so much for that. It is even ordered in terms of number of quotes.

BUT, the note files that I have tested do not fully populate. I haven't arrived at a resource that i do not own.

Is it possible to re-order the "quotes" view so that it follows the same order as the other views.?

Sorry! I generally follow these threads via email. Yes, you can change the sort order by clicking on the Resource Panel Menu and selecting one of the sort options (see attached image).

Scratch that. Just realized it doesn't adjust the actual sorting of the quotes view. Sorry about that!

Andrew! Thanks for this tip! I knew of quotes view, but never realized this use of it (for the readings for Mobile Ed courses). This is an excellent way to achieve this as well as a way to catch up on readings all in one place. I feel so stupid that I hadn't thought of this. Props to you ;-)

Glad I could help!

Glad I found this forum. How would you be able to see those available learning plans? Would they be integrated into the program, perhaps with a lock beside them? Thanks for your responses to the many questions about this helpful tool.

Why do you need the Gold edition to really utilize and have access to all the courses and even access to books in courses that are available to me?

Also, the Biblical Event Navigator is not the same and should have the same look and functionality.

We plan to integrate a way of filtering plans by resources owned. In the faceted browsing to the left of the main tool, you are able to select plans based on topic, theme, session length, etc. Our hope is also to include a section that lets you limit plans by whether you own the resources included in them or not. It will be something like "Plans for which I have all resources," "Plans for which I have some resources," "Plans for which I own no resources."

We built/are building most of the plans using the Logos 7 Gold library. We needed to choose a library so that the greatest amount of people would have access to all the resources. Gold is our most popular library, so we chose it.

I did build some plans using only resources in Starter and we plan to build more.

I don't understand what you are referring to.

Mine is showing 132 courses. Even though I do not own most of them.

I have 213 - mostly MobileEd courses that I don't own!

Could someone tell me from where the # of courses come from! Mine shows "All" 96. It seems to me that everyone has pretty much a # that is over 200 courses available! Thanks in advance for your kindness in responding. God bless you.

Now own Logos 7 Diamond and Reformed Diamond

About 24 hours after launch, the Courses tool stopped showing MobileEd courses that we don't own. So my 213 has dropped to 126 (and I own around 40 Mobile Ed modules).

We made learning plans that are heavily dependent on one resource (like Mobile Ed courses) unavailable to those who do not own that one resource. Hopefully this saves the frustration from having a bunch of courses in your tool that you can't use.

Question about this tool. In addition to the Mobile Ed courses I'm seeing, I'm seeing a bunch of other "courses" that are listed from different people and a bunch of introductory "courses". What are these and how are they different from the Mobile Ed courses I own?

Thanks!

They are basically reading plans on one or more books, sometimes traditional reading plans and sometimes created by the author.

For one they are not videos with transcripts. IMO, They are similar to the required reading sections from Mobile Ed classes, being that they are selected readings which are geared to putting some great resources in order which discuss a certain topic in an intentional/systematic work flow.

I should clarify, I'm referring to the topical courses, not the ones which are essentially readling plans for a single book.

No need to clarify ... that is what I assumed. Open one and look.

The best analog is probably reading lists from topics.logos.com. In fact, we've discussed converting some reading lists into learning plans in the Courses tool.

In the future, we intend to bring all plans back, not just the ones that correspond to content you own. This will allow you to discover plans you might be interested in even if you don't yet own the content. But we don't want to clutter your experience with the tool. We need to provide a way to see which plans you can take without purchasing anything, and which plans are available and would require an additional purchase. We're working on that. Once it's in place, you'll start seeing all plans.

Sounds good. Thanks Phil.

Now, go home. You posted this near midnight on a holiday weekend. Appreciate your dedication, but your family might like to see you before they need to look on the forum to remember what you look like. Stick out tongue
