Trying to craft a sermon series on Commitment using L7(Now).

I start with "Bible Word study."  I get 6 tabs- Topics, Heb /Gk, Phrases, Lemma, & Textual searches.

I choose"Texual Searches," then NASB.  100+ verses opens-  I start to add these to Notes- a good collection for later review.  I notice I CAN type UNDER each passage, but I can't simply add some general reflections.

How can I 1. type freely in Notes,"

OR 2. Find a place where I can write freely but also have the scriptures?

PS- I'm not at sermon writing phase yet.

Thanks,

Len

Hi Len

Len Calhoun:

I choose"Texual Searches," then NASB.  100+ verses opens-

FYI - these steps result in the same as opening a Bible search window and searching for commitment

Len Calhoun:

I'm not sure what step you are taking here - how are you adding these references to Notes?

Assuming you are going to each verse in the search window (by clicking on it) and then adding it to a Notes Document you will get something like this. Is this what you mean by "typing under each passage"?

Len Calhoun:
but I can't simply add some general reflections.

What limitations are you finding? It's just a text entry box

If you want to add a note that isn't tied to a reference click the "Add Note" button (outlined in red above)

Thanks Graham I really appreciate the thoroughness of your response. I didn't realise I could "add a note." That should suffice. FYI- I wanted to just freely write a note to be seen at the top of all the other notes. Not within a box to be clicked and opened, but just freely hanging text. I also appreciate the "alternative" method of getting there. I had a suspicion this was not some fabulous new feature, but somewhere "I'd been before." There are so many features it's hard to get a handle on them all, but I am committed with L7 more than with L6. Otherwise it's a huge waste of money! Appreciate at it brother. Len
