$50, 000.00 invested in this software and they have become the worst company to deal with- you have found the worst advertiser for your inept ridiculous company!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I want to read your venting why? If you have something to say, tell us what advertisement set you off and why.
I have had enough of FL- WS and Accordance now have my buisness.
Well, gee, Whyndell, at least Faithlife doesn't write product copy about scientific Darwin. That's a big plus.

Big deal!!
My question still is "why bother the forum users with this"? If you wish to take our time, you should explain what set you off - why you are dropping FL. BTW, using 3 different softwares would drive me crazy too ... but I'd drop 2 of them.
Faith Life just plain sucks = clickbait
What part of this is productive? If you have a reason, state it. Even your header is inciting and unnecessary. Honestly, I've reported two threads in four years. This will be number three.
On a related note: why do people insist on divulging their "investment" in Logos? By doing so do they think this will earn them favor or something? If I went to Apple and said I have invested $xx,xxx, I bet they would say, "Great! And why do I care?"
It comes across as whinny and a bit pompous, IMHO.
Any ways, Taco Bell just plain sucks!
Cliff
LOL but if it was me questioning him it'd be taken as an attack and then I'd have a FL employee who doesn't even actually know what's going on in the thread calling me because soMeone Just asked him a favor to call me and then just ends up looking bad and agreeing with me.
For 10 years experience on dealing with customer service the one in charge is definitely letting his team slack big time in many respects.
But anyway, I'm still a happy customer regardless; I just get some stuff that are cheaper elsewhere. No biggie, not everything has to be Logos platform.
DAL
Ps. And yes, Aaron. People fell for this one so easy it's hilarious! 😁😜😂
Even though the OP clearly put a lot of thought into making his argument, with many sound points which make a lot of sense, I guess I am going to have to stick with Faithlife.
Wait a minute; this is the same type of argumentation that got Dracula pulled! [:@]
Saying that company sucks without a reason is just insulting the company, owners, and the whole Faithlife community who are helping here, investing, and make such an amazing software which blessed thousands people. I think this thread should be deleted because it doesn't help or profit to anyone.
In all seriousness, I can only guess that you are angry about resources not downloading into your beta installation as described here. You should not install Beta products if you are not prepared to have major issues. That is what a beta is all about-working out bugs. People are trying to help. If that is not the issue, then forget I said anything.
I don't feel insulted. Clearly what he posted is between him and FL so no need to get into an argument that it doesn't involve you. Just my opinion.

DAL: Yet isn't that exactly what you are doing?
My anger with FL goes well beyond some recent issues but their overall performance- and to some the amount of $$ invested in this program is not just about money- I had to fit this into supporting many other things- anger is anger- sorry you can't deal with it snowflakes.

You mean we? Now you're involved LOL. I just stated a fact. Let the OP resolve the issue with FL no need for anyone to feel insulted. 😉

I think the difference, DAL, is that I didn't tell someone that there is "no need to get into an argument that doesn't involve you." Wild Eagle was making a very good observation, like others, and thus has the right to comment. It wasn't argumentative, so telling him to stay out of it was a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. Like you, "just my opinion."
Cannot speak to the OP's current situation, but I am happy to report I had a very good day today interacting with Faithlife staff. My sales guy went way above and beyond to help take care of something for me. I have been using Logos since around 2009 and there has only been one instance where I was unable to get a result I was happy with from staff. In most cases I have found Faithlife to be overly gracious, even in times when the error was clearly mine and not theirs.
- anger is anger- sorry you can't deal with it snowflakes.
I believe the complaint is that you are not dealing with it - you are lashing out at the forum community of other users rather than addressing the issue. Sorry to be so blunt but you have responded to more gentle requests with name calling.
...and to some the amount of $$ invested in this program is not just about money- I had to fit this into supporting many other things...
I suspect that's true, to a greater or lesser extent, for all of us.
... anger is anger ...
Yes, it is. It's a natural emotion that we've all experienced. Sometimes expressing it to someone who understands helps. On the other hand, giving full vent to it in public can be unhelpful to the people around you. It's your call, of course - you're free to post whatever you like. But what you write in the heat of anger today may look different when you look back at it tomorrow, or next week. And people who read it may react differently than you expect.
It sounds like you are being a BIG CRY BABY about something, and you are afraid to tell us because it probably just makes you look like a BIG CRY BABY.
Although I must say I think logos 7 is GREAT!!
Sincerely Matt
C'mon Y'all. Give poor little ole Whine Dell (sic) a break. After all, he did give us all a second chance and a third. Truth is I can't count the times he has declared the last straw. If we baby him this time, too, He may give us one more last chance.
The way in which the majority of you have responded to the OP is poor and some of your comments are totally inappropriate. The OP vented - so what, he never said anything about any of you so why you all are getting heated up ? Some of your comments are downright vicious and quiet frankly disgusts me way more than anything the OP said - in fact I was not offended by the OP and did not feel there was anything said that was worth reporting. If there is nothing you can say to resolve customers anger then simply move on to the next post - no need for any of you to unleash your own rant at the OP. MVP's should know better and not responded in this situation and simply alerted the appropriate people at FL there was a situation beyond their ability to resolve. Until you all got involved there was seriously nothing here to see - you all have made it a spectacle and only added fuel to the fire.

As the only MVP involved, I did exactly what I do when anyone vents - tried to find out what the issue was to see if there was an issue that could be resolved. About half the time there is. Until I know what the issue is, I don't know if FL should be alerted or who the appropriate people at FL are. If you are saying that the OP should be added to my list of people whom I know I cannot help, that is a different issue that was settled by his response. And it is deliberate on my part that I am saying nothing about what others said and explicitly tell you I am not to save you the effort of telling me I did not. See, I am trainable. [;)]
Hehehe 😉
If you have a "beef" with FL, take it up with FL (Mt. 18:15- though the context is a bit different, the principle still applies). The forums are not the place for this. So, seeing that this was "the last straw," I suspect you'll be leaving the forums. I wish you the best!
Hello DOC: 99% of the time, I agree with you when you stand up for people. I think this is the first time I don't. The difference between this post and all the others is that when other people vented, they didn't start the thread with FL SUCKS...and then come on, throw around how much they have spent, (as if that means they should receive some sort of special service) and refuse to state why they are venting. If another poster hadn't given a link to a thread, we still would not know why he was so angry. I appreciate that you are a champion fighter for the frustrated user, but this guy's post is completely out of line.
I like Taco Bell!
I remember a few versions ago when Whyndell made a similar rant about the latest Logos upgrade. He drew a line in the sand. Was never going to use Logos again.
It wasn't very long before he was posting again.
Reminds me of the little boy who called "wolf" too many times.
Whyndell, I disagree. I have been a Logos Bible software customer for more than 20 years, and I would still recommend it for serious Bible Study.
It is not a perfect company, but there are no perfect companies. I believe that Faithlife tries to treat people fairly, and most of the time they are successful in doing so. They have grown to the point that it is now a big business, and it is impossible to be what they were, when they were only a small company with a small customer base. Such is life.
Faithlife has made it possible for me to have a better theological library than I ever dreamed I could have. I am not on the cutting edge of all the bells and whistles in the new software version, and have no interest in most of them, but Logos Bible software does what I need to do every day.
I have two other Bible Software programs on my computer, including one of the programs you mentioned, because they had a great sale on some resources that I wanted. They are fine for reading and using those resources. However, they are far inferior to Logos, in my opinion.
Blessings! I suspect that most of the Bible Software programs now do a very good job. I wish you well with the programs you have chosen, and I wish you very well in your ministry for Christ.
✅👍 They are not perfect, but I'm blessed by their BSW. God bless you all!

The other guy's post was even worse and you along with others defended him in spite of him threatening to go from forum to forum bad mouthing FL! Such double standards 😜
Let him vent 😁
I got out our white-board, to try and map out the key issues that us forumites are truly struggling with. I also numbered them to avoid confusion. Frankly, the snowflake one fascinates me ... I think that was a 1950's phrase?
MJ is handling #6. Michael is confident with #1. DAL and Cynthia are working out #3. #2 appears to require the most manpower, plus creative adjectives. And #5 was quickly taken care of with a nice clean knife-cut. I'm good for #4.
Yeah! Let him whine. It's just his nature.

Whyndell, I'm sorry you feel that way. I can see from your account that you recently had some technical trouble with Logos. And while our Support team has already resolved the issue, I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Faithlife takes pride in treating all of our customers with respect and efficiency--regardless of how much they have spent. You have been a customer with us for a very long time, and we look forward to serving you for years to come.
