OK, please bear in mind this is only a temporary measure until Logos implement the sorting/globall recoloring of a notefile, please note I am using 4.0c beta here, but program should still adjust 4.0b (current release) notes

Please also note this is used at your own risk, and has nothing to do with Logos, it is third party software.

RECOLOR

All notefiles in v4 are default yellow tagged(unless changed), in L3 we were able to default a notefile to be a set color.

This is not possible in L4 currently, and some people's importing didnt import correctly, and were imported as yellow, there is no simple way of correcting it, and some people have lots of notefile they may wish to recolor.

This program enables you to set all the color tags of ALL existing notes in the specified notefile to a selected color,  its a stop gap measure until we maybe see an official release which solves the default color issue, new notes will have to be manualy colored. or the program rerun in the future.

SORTING

3 types:

  1. By Date Created
  2. By Date Last Modified/Changed
  3. By Reference Order/Canon

The canonical sort needs a small explain

The yellow note is attatched to the verse
The orange note is attatched to the surface text of the document

As far as Logos 3 and 4 are concerned, they are as different as chalk and cheese..

this was my test file before running the canonical sort (using new compact view)

It sorts in the following order

  1. Notes on Reference (regardless of version)
  2. Unattatched Notes
  3. Notes on surface text

2&3 are sorted by creation date order,  I can find no way of extracting the verse reference from the location tag Logos4 stores the surface text note in so have decided to put them at the end of file so its obvious.

So after Sorting

Hope that enough to tide you over until Logos add the features.

I have tried used this program on 4.0b and it caused Logos to crash.   Restoring the original notes.db file stopped Logos from crashing.  I am wondering whether version 2 requires the compact view to work.

Sorry to hear that Ken, I did try it on a limited install of 4.0b (4.0.2.7337) after posting, and it seemed fine, can you recall the error message, if so please email me (address is in the readme)
