Kyle,

I've noticed several series collections that do not have complete series designations, I would hope that adding series designations is not too labor intensive. Some like the series "Studies of the Old Testament and its World" I had to dig the information from the publisher's original list of books that were in the series. I think our library's will benefit from these corrections.

Best,

Bobby

We've added series info to the following:

Series added:
SBL Writing From the Ancient World
McMaster New Testament Studies
IVP Spectrum Series
3 Crucial Questions
Foundations of Evangelical Theology
Christian Theology for a Postmodern Age
Studies in Theological Interpretation

Do to a variety of internal standards the following most likely will not receive series designations:

IVP Evangelical Theology Collection

Perspectives Series

Acadia Studies in Bible and Theology

IVP Essentials Series

We're still working on the rest. Needless to say: they're far from straightforward.

Kyle,

Thanks so much for your reply. I noticed I typed Old Testament instead of New Testament in the following collection;

Studies of the New Testament and its World

Since it was the publishers original intent in publishing these volumes in a series, wouldn't that be the best way to organize them? I know volumes tend to lose that distinction after a number of years and reprints later

Thanks for the heads up. I've passed that information along which is useful because we haven't gotten that far down the list yet. This particular series is particularly difficult and we'll be tracking down some supplemental information.

Kyle,

Any update on the series metadata for the series "Studies of the New Testament and its World"

I notice Logos lists 15 volumes in the series as noted in the link below, but only seven has the series tag.

https://www.logos.com/product/53014/studies-of-the-new-testament-and-its-world

But there are three more titles that should be included in that series,

The Religious Contest of Early Christianity

The Elders: Seniority Within Earliest Christianity

The Double Message: Patterns of Gender in Luke-Acts

Thanks for the work you did on the other series!

We're still looking into some of the more esoteric candidates from your list. We have pretty tight parameters for how series get generated.

We've added your new titles to our list as well. Thanks.

Kyle,

I just noticed that the IVP counseling collection that shipped yesterday was missing the series metadata for three of the four volumes.

The Reciprocating Self is the only book that received a series title because it was the only one of the four that had an explicitly identified series title found in the source material used for production.

Kyle,

Here is the publisher's web site stating that these are part of a series, of which we only have 4 out of 20 volumes.

https://www.ivpress.com/christian-association-for-psychological-studies-books-set

"This group of books is published in partnership with the Christian Association for Psychological Studies. This joint publishing venture between IVP Academic and CAPS aims to promote the understanding of the relationship between Christianity and the behavioral sciences at both the clinical/counseling and theoretical/research levels. These books will be of particular value for students and practitioners, teachers and researchers."
