Does anyone know if there is a way to filter out of this list resources you already own?

Adding &unlocked=no to the end of the URLworks for any store search, not just the LN freebies.

You can't go wrong with anything written by Spurgeon.

Excellent, if you like puritans. He's certainly one of the favorites.

Yeah, I do not have anything against the Puritans, I have heard John Owen was a great author for his time period. I am just trying to choose a good free book that is worth getting.

Having an extensive wishlist comes handy in situations like this. I choose https://www.logos.com/product/2011/saint-pauls-epistle-to-the-ephesians (one of BF Westcott's classical commentaries on the Greek NT) which was on my wishlist. The book mentioned earlier in this thread, https://www.logos.com/product/3803/a-harmony-of-the-life-of-st-paul sits there as well, so I may get that in August.

yes they do (until I bought one).

Some other reason?

Also it seems many find it difficult to choose one from 3000 free books (okay, it's much less than 3000 for people with a large library who follow CP) and fear to lose out on the one book they would have really liked. It seems sorting by price/savings and trying the various search facets the logos.com shop provides is not enough in providing an obvious "must buy" from such a large number of diverse books, Thus it helps to have a wishlist that contains all those books one felt interested in, but didn't buy due to price restrictions. Then one can look through in case of new circumstances (such as "get one free, but only one" like this, or March Madness, or the monthly sale) and decide again on those books.

I tend to look through the wishlist once a month looking for items on sale (red price and rebate percentage - unfortunately "normal" dynamic pricing is not differentiated from temporary sales) - not necessarily always buying.

I was desiring to keep the recommendations continuing; therefore, I am wondering what others have purchased? Just when I think I have a book picked out, I notice other great choices (Whitefield, Owen, Spurgeon, Puritan Sermons...).

LMAM:

Post your free LN book recommendations here. There are over 3000 titles we might as well pool our knowledge.

Here are my offings:

Bavinck's The Philosophy of Revelation: https://www.logos.com/product/4142/the-philosophy-of-revelation

J.C. Ryle's Holiness: https://www.logos.com/product/15598/holiness-its-nature-hindrances-difficulties-and-roots

Great idea! Here are a number of books that I caught my eye, including some that I already own:

For my first free LN Book of the Month, I grabbed The Patriarchal Greek New Testament (PATr).This edition is used in one of the best recordings of the GNT, which is read by a native Modern Greek speaker (link).

I saw some primary sources that I already own, such as, Rick Brannan's Greek Apocryphal Gospels, Fragments and Agrapha: Texts and Transcriptions. There are also some language resources, such as, E. A. Sophocle's Greek Lexicon of the Roman and Byzantine Periods (from B.C. 146 to A.D. 1100), which is important for studying Greek through the Roman and Byzantine periods.

For anyone interested in biblical backgrounds (history, archaeology, geography, culture, etc.), William M. Thomson's works are available, such as, his three-volume classic "The Land and the Book" (at least 2 of 3 are currently eligible); Austen Henry Layard's are important for the study of ancient Mesopotamia, although I'm not sure how riveting they are.

There are classic commentaries, for example, from 19th and early 20th century scholars like Joseph Lightfoot, Frédéric Louis Godet, Heinrich August Wilhelm Meyer, John Eadie(?), etc. Other classic commentaries were already mentioned, including many individual commentaries from this set:  https://www.logos.com/product/6545/classic-commentaries-on-the-greek-new-testament

Lots of writings from (or relevant to) Protestant, Reformed, Anglican, Puritan, Baptist, and evangelical backgrounds (Luther, Tyndale, Calvin, Cranmer, Owen, Whitfield, Ryle, McCheyne, Hodge, Shedd, Warfield, Spurgeon, Bavinck, Vos, Berkhof etc., etc., etc.)—not to mention other works throughout church history from various periods and backgrounds (Chrysostom, Anselm, Erasmus, etc.).

There are some secondary sources, for example, for those interested in the history of creeds, confessions, and the Reformation from Philip Schaff and J. H. Merle D'aubigne, including the latter's massive, eight-volume Reformation in Europe in the Time of Calvin.

As an aside, another high quality recording of the GNT can be found here (read from the Textus Receptus or Scrivener 1881, as I recall):

Koine GNT (Textus Receptus) read in Modern/Demotic Greek by Theo Karvounakis.

Sean:
I only looked at what's new to me, which came to about 23 pages.

I'm using this link:

https://www.logos.com/products/search?Product+Type=Free+titles+for+Now+members&unlocked=no&start=&sort=bestselling&pageSize=60

How can i narrow it to just books new to me?

Nevermind! The unlocked=no does that!
