Is is possible to highlight on a floating panel?  Or do you have to dock the panel each time that you want to highlight something?

Thanks beforehand for the help!

Hi Ed. Welcome to the forums.

Yes, you can highlight in a floating panel. I am guessing, however, you are wondering how to do that when the highlight panel is in the main window. There are several ways:

1) I don't know if you are on Windows or Mac, but you can select the text and use a keyboard shortcut to switch back to the main window (on the Mac it's Command-~) and select the highlight. Just don't do anything to deselect the text.

2) You can also drag the highlighting panel to the floating window and put it alongside the panel that you are reading.

3) The way I do it is to assign shortcut keys to the highlights. This is the fastest way. Then you only have to tap "Y" for yellow, for example. NOTE: You have to assign the shortcut keys before you can use them. See here for instructions on assigning shortcut keys: https://wiki.logos.com/Highlighting#Shortcut_keys

Hope this helps
