Today the csb study notes shipped but I noticed two issues right off the bat. I don't know if it is a logos issue or a publisher issue. 1) In the table of contents there is a section listed essay contributors where it lists all the essays in the study Bible. When I go to the logos table of contents quick select menu it only lists the top heading of essay contributors under contributes but not all the essays. Can they be added? 2) In the essay section it is missing the essay on the intertestamental period. There is no mention of it in the ToC or in the logos ToC quick select. It can be found on page 1475.

Hi Mattillo,

For your first issue, that information is included in the Logos TOC sidebar under "Contributors" and then "Essay Contributors".

For your second issue, the essay on Intertestamental History is included in the same location: at the end of the book of Malachi. The editors of the CSB Study Bible Notes did not treat this section as its own essay, hence why it is not included in the TOC for essays.

Please let me know if I misunderstood your concerns!

I can confirm that the essay for the Intertestamental Period is missing.. There is no mention of it in the TOC.

This needs to be corrected.

Hi Daniel! Thank you for the reply. I apologise for not being clearer. What I meant is issues 1 and 2 aren't in the quick select. I'll post photos

I don't know if that is fixable but having quick access to the essays would be nice if possible

Thank you Faithlife for bringing CSB Study Bible into Logos...Yes

Yes, as Mattilo mentioned, I noticed also the essay :

"THE ORIGIN, TRANSMISSION, AND CANONIZATION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT BOOKS"

was not in the content.

I see what you mean! Yes, it would be nice if the table of contents could be more detailed to be able to navigate every major heading and sub-heading. So, yes, please, FL, make the ToC more detailed for easy access. Maybe next update? 👍😁👌

But this can be found in the content:

THE ORIGIN, TRANSMISSION, AND CANONIZATION OF THE OLD TESTAMENT BOOKS

Unless the desktop version of the ToC is different than the mobile version, I don’t think they are included in detail.

Thanks Mattillo, sorry for the misunderstanding on my end. I spoke with our production team and they told me that (1) since the print edition doesn't have those contents there, we won't be able to include them in that spot and (2) we can't include essays as a drop down option under "Essay Contributors" because we do not create articles/ToC entries on that narrow of a scope. We want to do our best to strike a balance between helpfulness and brevity.

However, all of the contents of the CSB Study Bible Notes should be present. If you do not see an essay title in the ToC that you believe should be there, it is more than likely because the publisher did not include that essay in the "Essay Contributors" section but is still present within the notes themselves.

What is, then, the best way to bookmark a ''hidden'' essay??

Thank you for taking the time to look into this Daniel. The essays are all hyperlinked in the main ToC but finding them quickly will be a pain as one will have to navigate to the main ToC and scroll thru all the options. The ESVSB was setup better for finding essays like this. I appreciate your help with this and I hope the team changes their mind in the future but I won't badger you on this. I got a great study Bible for $5 Smile

Thank you Daniel Motley (Faithlife)

I did not even think to look at the end of the Book of Malachi for The Intertestamental Period. I thought that it would have showed up in the TOC, but you have already explained that to us. Thanks a lot.Big Smile
