No more Ipad vs Slate questions

HP's rival to the iPad, the Slate, has been cancelled. The device was already far along in development. HP says Windows 7 wasn't working as expected. HP plans to focus on the cell phone market instead.

This is a rumor and has not been confirmed by HP. In fact many who have inside knowledge from HP say it is false.

It got started when Michael Arrington at TechCrunch was giving his conjecture that the HP Palm deal meant it would be dead. But that is all it was, conjecture. I think it makes sense, but then again tech companies often do things that I don't think make sense and don't do things that I do think make sense.
