Holman Bible Atlas - Resource Update Needed? Poor Image Quality
I was wondering if the Holman Bible Atlas is due for an update in Logos. See attached map. The map looks fine at the outset but when I zoom in to read the small blue letter text it becomes very blurry. Can the images in this resource be updated? Possible? Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about this at this time. The files we have were provided to us by the publisher and are all we have available to us.

Can you check with the publisher? They may have better files to share. It seems that on these older titles with maps and photos, that higher resolution files were shunned. Perhaps because of file size or software limitations, but it would seem worthwhile to try and improve the quality of the book. They must have had better resolution files when they printed the book.

I remain disappointed with most Bible maps; they are generally too cluttered with data which makes a poor PowerPoint slide. Or they look too amateur in appearance.
I long for a Logos resource (or a standalone program) that has good looking base maps and gives me the ability to include only the cities, boundaries and geographic features I want. So far I have found nothing like that.
In my opinion, the Casual English Bible has some nice looking Bible maps. This gives an idea of what I mean by saying a "good looking base map."

In this case the project is old enough that the publisher doesn't have the working files/high res images for it. As I understand it they're actually working on creating a new Biblical geography book with all new images.

I've been frustrated for decades with how unusable Logos maps are. From the beginnong, Logos has been the most expensive Bible software available, and they've always had the worst maps.
The best, most usable map set I've ever seen in a computer program actually came with a mid 1990's version of Quickverse. I still have a copy on an old Windows XP machine. For more than two decades, I've kept that program around almost exclusively for its maps.

That's kind of you to mention the Casual English Bible maps.
We have about 900 maps now, most in 3D style.
We have just a few Bible books to finish the paraphrase. So the number of maps, most in 3D style and in color, will go well over 1,000. Every one is downloadable as a PDF, individually or by the Bible book or as a large package of all 900.
We're glad a kind soul noticed the maps.

You can search by keyword, Bible book, people names, and eras. Search "Samson" for maps about him, for example. We think that's pretty cool. We hope others find it helpful, too.
