Yes, there are just the four options (0.75, 1, 1.4 and 2). Even if you change the speed in Control Panel, Logos will still use it's standard speeds.

Thank you, Mark. I can't be the only auditory learner who uses Logos and is a bit annoyed that I can get faster read aloud speeds from $5 per month online book services than I can get with Logos, for which I've paid thousands of dollars. I really hope they upgrade this, and soon. I have an enormous amount of reading to do, and this 2X limit is costing me a lot of time that I could otherwise spend with my family and/or getting a lot more reading done.  Listening and following along visually, my brain can take in material and I can retain it very well at a lot faster speed than 2X. Come on, Logos.  Upgrade this.  This is kind of a bush league problem, and shouldn't even be an issue considering how much your costumers have paid for your product.

This is how I take in a lot of audio as well. I agree that it would be great to see this changed in Logos.

Thank you, Bruce.  Logos: Don't get me wrong. I love you. I just need more than 2X. I'm actually buying many books, which I'd PREFER to have in my Logos library, from other online book sites, because they offer much faster read aloud speeds, and I NEED to save that time. After spending all this money on Logos, it is very disappointing to have to turn to these other cheaper sites to get the service I need.  To see $5 per month options offering services that meet my needs in this way far better than a product for which I've paid thousands...this is like buying a BMW, but having to rent a Chevy Cavalier periodically because the BMW doesn't offer a particular option that I really need.

For reading Greek and Hebrew, many would benefit from a slower option as well, perhaps 0.5. The current professional reading of the Greek is very good, but even 0.75 is a bit fast for language learners.

Another useful option for language learners would be a slower word by word reading. I would want this choice offered in addition to the current natural language reading that has pauses at phrases and clauses.

It would be wonderful also to have the Hebrew Bible professionally read. But in the meantime, I will use free websites that have this (e.g. the Academy of Ancient Languages http://www.aoal.org/hebrew_audiobible.htm has a very nice reading of the Hebrew Bible).

That's a helpful reply for those of us who are trying to learn Hebrew, Harry!  Thank you!

I wholeheartedly agree.  I'm following the Greek reading, but if I turn away a second from following the non-bouncing ball, I can easily get lost.  To add insult to injury, I read earlier in this thread about a "control panel." So far, I've searched and searched by have not found the control panel.  I know you wrote your comments over two years ago, but I would so appreciate it if you would share your knowledge on this.  Thanks,

TechnoRev.

Thank you all.  I kept reading and discovered the answers to my questions.  I only leave this up to suggest that a 0.5 speed would be nice too!

That link seems to be broken, now.  Is the content available somewhere else?  Thanks.

I wish they had finer gradation. I would like a speed somewhere between .75 and 1.

The spoken Hebrew Bible has been moved to here:

The same recording of the Hebrew Bible is also available, along with Bibles in other languages, here:

I think that the Hebrew Bible is beautifully and passionately read. It would be wonderful if Logos could get these recordings and add the bouncing ball reader to the Hebrew Bible. They

Here is biographical information about Abraham Shmuelof, who recorded the entire Hebrew Bible: http://individual.utoronto.ca/mfkolarcik/AbrahamShmuelof.html
