Logos 4 is crashing after changing the bibles list in settings of the visual versions comparison cha
After I try to change the bible list in the visual "Compare Versions" settings (in the Passage Guide panel), Logos 4 stops working and Windows 7 (Pro) closes the application after "checking for a solution." I was trying to use a bible list I created for my Spanish bibles. Has anyone experienced this?

Here's the log file...8875.Logos4Crash.txt
I'm running L4 under Windows 7 Pro in a MacBook Pro OS X 10.6.3 (2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM) using VMWare Fusion 3.1 allowing 2 GB of RAM for the virtual machine, 1 core, and 3D graphics acceleration off.

Does this occur with English bibles?

My "Top Bibles" list has one in Spanish. That is the default setting and works fine. If I input the list of Spanish Bibles individually, one by one, the comparison works fine; however, if I use the name of the collection I created it crashes. The same collection name works fine in the "Text Comparison" panel, though. If I use another collection I created, i.e., my Greek New Testaments, the "Version Comparison" only displays the first Greek New Testament on the list, but does not crash the application; again, the "Text Comparison" panel works fine.

Dave, your question made me think of another alternative... and I found the problem. When I checked the Bible collection in Spanish there were a couple of resources that were not Bibles per se, i.e., Bible notes, and Biblical maps. When I revised the collection by excluding those the "Version Comparison" feature worked fine. It is interesting that the "Text Comparison" does not seem to mind that the other resources are present while "Version Comparison" does not tolerate the insult...
I'll check if I have a non-Scriptural resource in my Greek NT's...

The Greek list misbehaves as well... sometimes it shows one, sometimes two NT's but not the complete collection. I made Logos crash by defining the Greek collection as follows: TENTG, RECEPTUS, NESLTE. Again, it will work fine if I input the resources one by one, and the "Text Comparison" does not get affected.

OK, Greek works fine by removing from the Collection list the interlinears, lexicons, and other resources that are not the NT alone.
It remains interesting that this sensitivity in "Version Comparison" is not an issue for "Text Comparison" even though both features use the same Collection definitions.

Fernando ~ I'll submit your crash report and details to development. Thanks.
A question: Does the app crash when you change Collections (with their original group of books) in Passage Analysis > Cluster Graph?

No, it crashed only with the Collections I defined.
BTW, the RV60 new Interlinear works beautifully (OT and NT)...

Thank you for the crash report, the fix should be in the
next service release (4.0c SR-2).The problem was related to having non-Bible resources in the
collection used for the Version Comparison. These resources will now be skipped
while generating the section. The above example of the "Bibles: Greek"
collection actually returns a number of non-Bible resources. If it is limited
to only look at the Abbreviated Title field it returns a smaller set of resources
but, in my library at least, they all have Bible indexes."TENTG, RECEPTUS, NESTLE" results in 34 resources,
"abbrev:TENTG, abbrev:RECEPTUS, abbrev:NA27" results in 10 resources all with Bible indexes.

Thank you for the tip and for taking care of the fix. Fernando
