Notes not syncing from desktop to laptop

I am using Logos 8 on my PC laptop & desktop. I spent a few hours organizing my desktop notes into notebooks with appropriate headings. The notebooks & notes from the desktop are not syncing to my laptop. I have no notebooks and no notes on my laptop. How can I achieve full syncing to my laptop?

Les, welcome to the forums!

This should be automatic but may need some time. That said...

  • Do you have "Use Internet" set to "Yes" on both machines? (found in tools/program settings)
  • Have you restarted both machines
    • Has the sync seemed successful
  • Have you tried "force syncing" by holding Shift while clicking the sync icon (on both machines)

If that doesn't fix it, please replay back with the version of Logos you're running, the OS version you're running and log files.

Thanks Reuben for the quick reply. The 3rd bullet you mentioned worked! I forced syncing by holding the shift key and pressing the Synchronization tab on both the desktop & laptop. All is well. Have a great day.

Bradley, I came back from coffee this morning & did a sync with my laptop & desktop. It appears the sync problem is now working. Thanks for checking into this and fixing the problem. All is well.

I've tried synching both machines. I've tried turning off and turning on. After months of problems my apples laptop has not had the notes from my main pc updated. Any other suggestions since I've done all the ones listed above.

Hi,

I've been trying to sync my laptop to get all the new updated notes that I do on my PC. This has been a problem for almost a year. I really can not bring my laptop to a study and expect to have my notes appear there. I've followed the above directions about syncing with no success. Any Suggestions?
