Finally finished this beast project after a year, working a little at a time; finding bargains where I can.

Built into a modified Thermaltake lanbox (the size of a toaster oven with a big handle on top.)

Core -7 920 clocked at 4.5GHZ, water cooled

12GB DDR3-1722

Intel 160GB SSD boot

Fusion-io 80GB SLC PCI-e SSD for applications (Logos 4 on here)  750MB/s read/500 mb/s write

NVIDIA Quadro FX 4800 graphics.

I use this for Photoshop & video work.

My Logos database is a little over 8GB .  Until I figure out Logos 4, I dont know what is a normal response time.

Any search ideas?

It took between 1-2 hours for the indexing on install.

Which library do you have? Try running a search on the word "the". I have Platinum along with several other resources "2381" in total. It took 23 seconds to return the results.

Your rig is very similar to mine (Core i7 920, 12GB RAM, GeForce 295GTX dual GPU, Caviar Black 1TB).

I will be very interested to see your comments on Logos 4 on a Fusion-io drive. I have been wondering about purchasing one of these, and if it would make a significant improvement to Logos 4 performance.

That's a good result. My machine takes just under 4 hours to index 13GB of resources.
