The symbol/ book new american commentary is permanantly beside my command panel. On the opening page and when I am working on teksts. Is this a bug, or is it possible to remove it?

Is this the location you are referring to?
Yes! And it is also on the opening page.
You can right-click on the icon on the shortcut bar and select delete which will get rid of the icon. When you say it is on your opening page do you mean on the ribbon below where the command bar is when you go to your homepage, or do you just mean you see it when you are at your homepage?
Exactly, but where on your picture you have the box "close all" on mine I have the New american commentary. Nothing happens when I right click, and on a MAC the right click is that I just hover over the symbol so I am not sure how to solve this one[:S]
Thanks so far for the help

That's the shortcut bar. Those icons just depend on what shortcuts you've dragged up there. If you click on one of them, it's a quick way to open that resource or run that command. You must have accidentally dragged the New American Commentary up there at some point. The shortcut bar is visible when you're on the home page, too. The icon is harmless up there, but you can remove it if you want to.

I thought Command-click was how you do right-click on a Mac.
when I command click on the symbol it just opens the commentary and it does not open close options.
No the right click is either...
1. A right click - (check mouse settings to make sure that something has not turned it off if it doesn't work)
2. A two finger click - on a laptops track pad. (check track pad settings if it does not work)
3. A 'Ctrl' click on the keyboard. (if this does not work then it really isn't your day and you should retire to bed forthwith)
See Rossie - you never need to lift your hand from the control mechanism you are working with.
Are you starting to yearn for a mac yet? [:^)]
