What happens when you buy a commentary set and they come out with a new book? For example, I own NICOT, but they recently released The Second Book of Samuel: https://www.logos.com/product/176183/the-second-book-of-samuel . Does it automatically become part of my library? Or do I have to purchase it separately?

You will need to purchase it separately

Hi Jeremy

You didn't buy the set - you bought that set that was advertised at the time. So as Graham said you will need to purchase any new volume or revised editions. These will either be made available separately, as upgrade sets or on occasions they will be wound in to the whole set - but then will require you to buy the set 'again' but with dynamic pricing applied in most cases which will just price up the new/replacement volume that are not in you library.

Shalom

The Second Book of Samuel (The New International Commentary on the Old Testament | NICOT) is currently on sale at its Pre-Pub price, so it would be a good time to pick it up.

If you like to keep your commentary collections up to date, keep an eye on the Pre-Pub page. If you Pre-order or Quick buy a resource you will not be charged until it ships, and you will receive notification ahead of time informing you it’s about to ship.

The only commentary set you get every time a new volume comes out is the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary (EEC); but only if you paid for it in Advanced since it’s still being produced: https://www.logos.com/product/7565/evangelical-exegetical-commentary

DAL

Ps. From the product page:

“When you order the EEC, all of the volumes listed below as Now Available are automatically downloaded. As the series grows and new volumes are released, the remaining commentaries will download automatically as soon as they ship.”
