I am trying to capture a link in the format: https://ref.ly/logos4/Timeline;id=tle:{lifeathanasiusofalexandria} but following the directions, I get a link in the format of https://ref.ly/logos4/Timeline?date=date.259.7.11.20.31.4-354.9.17.2.0.7

I was given Mac instructions of:

  1. click on timeline event
  2. Shift+Command+Alt+C which I took to be PC Shift+Control+Alt+C

I do not get consistent results which I believe to the related to the difficulty in getting a pointer rather than a hand when clicking on the event - the hand resulting in a picture rather than a link

I am trying to create links similar to the links in Parks, Jessica, ed. Martin Luther: A Guide to His Life and Writings. Faithlife Author Guides. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2017. which is why I am convinced it is possible - that I'm simply doing something silly.

MJ,

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, both of those links look identical to me.

Now that's embarrassing. I've corrected the post to show I get the date format ...
