This time it's not stuff on PrePub (like here) but things not yet offered in Logos.

Came across this title and it caught my attention, because it is the only title from the Eisenbrauns series Bulletin for Biblical Research Supplement that I have seen offered in Logos. This series is glutted with excellent subject matter. I already have purchased 3-4 and have at least a dozen or so more on my "get" list. If one is in Logos, why not all?

I asked the same question about another Eisenbrauns series, which I have advocated for many years now, and only this one title is in Logos as far as I know. I have purchased at least 3-4 from this collection, too. One came in just a couple of days ago. Same question...why isn't the whole series available in Logos?

While I'm on this horse, Eisenbrauns has numerous other series in its stable, such as the Journal of Theological Interpretation Supplements, from which I have also purchased a few titles...in fact, I will probably get 1-2 more as soon as I post this. Logos is losing $$$. Amazon & Ebay have gotten about 98-99% of my purchases over the last 3 or so years. Spitballing, that's about $2500-3500. It easily might have been twice that if some of these series were in Logos. But I'm not holding my breath waiting for Logos to step up its game. I've gotten very used to having a book in my hand again. Ball's in FL's court.

Oh, one other thing. I've mentioned this before, but FL's "timed sales" strategy is essentially adversarial to how I make purchases. I'm an "every day low price" kind of shopper. I can't drop everything to grab stuff in flash sales, not even ones that last a month. I just went to my cart a couple of minutes ago to purchase a few titles I had added a couple of days ago from the Crossway sale, and the sale is over. Money left on the table. FL has left my money on the table so often, it's practically a cliche...easily to the tune of $10K, maybe even twice that. I don't expect FL to change its ways for me, but as things are, I don't expect them to get a whole lot more of my money either. They could change that if they started offering more of these deep-dive monograph series.

I'm not sure why there isn't more apparent interest in the kinds of titles I'm advocating in this thread (and others, too). But this series (Contributions to Biblical Exegesis and Theology) is glutted with interesting titles. Check out the Amazon page and peruse the offerings. All "deep dive" stuff.

FL should get this publisher onboard and advocate for a Pick 3, Pick 5, Pick 8, Pick 12, Pick 15, Pick 20, and so on from the total number of titles in the series, with an additional 5% off for each step up (or something of the sort).
