Hi all,
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the choice in this sale and dont want to waste 30% on an impulse buy I later regret.
I'm wondering, what did you get? Find a hidden treasure, a top resource, or a bargain? Post it here.
Help me make an informed decision on Logos purchases (for once!!!!)
Looking forward to reading replies. Blessings, Liam

Well, I had 3 books in my wish list, and none got the discount. After that I was surfing aimlessly in the Logos store I came across this, added to the wish list, and bought it because it got the discount. Both Logos and I won.

These below in the wish list did not get the discount. Should I draw the conclusion that they are too specific and will never go to sale?:
https://www.logos.com/product/33477/studies-on-gothic-christian-writings
https://www.logos.com/product/31787/a-short-grammar-of-biblical-aramaic
https://www.logos.com/product/17345/concordia-commentary-song-of-songs
Gold package, and original language material and ancient text material, SIL and UBS books, discourse Hebrew OT and Greek NT. PC with Windows 8.1
I have not pushed the buy button, but I have these in my cart:
https://www.logos.com/product/165928/an-exegetical-summary-upgrade
https://www.logos.com/product/165723/proverbs-an-introduction-and-commentary
https://www.logos.com/product/175393/ephesians
https://www.logos.com/product/166088/daniel-an-introduction-and-commentary
https://www.logos.com/product/144303/john-2nd-ed
Mostly adding some additional volumes to commentary sets I own. I had the Zondervan Exegetical upgrade in the cart, but lost the discount.
I am staying away from commentaries as I have a large collection where commentaries will be updated/included with L9 on Nov.3, Nat'l Insanity Day.
I mostly looked for sets that got a discount for being in a set, were part of a current sale, and got a 3rd discount for Labor Day. The 4th criteria was having a large dynamic discount because I owned most of it. Not all of these hit on all four.

Can I ask which edition of the Holmes edited Apostolic Fathers this is: 1st, 2nd or 3rd edition? I can't figure it out from the product page. Thanks

I posted in the other thread too. Check your dynamic price and use the 30% off coupon from last Sunday's webinar. You might be able to get this and other resources at a better price.

I took advantage of the whole miscommunication thing and snagged the following (By the way, the miscommunication continues. Expansions were included, then they weren't and now are included. Baker and Zondervan were included, then excluded and now some are back or maybe not...FL is still looking into it...So I have not really taken advantage of anything in a bad way is just a figure of speech, but here's what I got):
1. The King in His Beauty by Schreiner: https://www.logos.com/product/32180/the-king-in-his-beauty-a-biblical-theology-of-the-old-and-new-testaments
2. NT Theology by Schreiner: https://www.logos.com/product/7791/new-testament-theology-magnifying-god-in-christ
3. Church History Vol. 1 by Ferguson: https://www.logos.com/product/26729/church-history-volume-1-from-christ-to-pre-reformation
4. Baptism in the Early Church by Ferguson: https://www.logos.com/product/50134/baptism-in-the-early-church-history-theology-and-liturgy-in-the-first-five-centuries
5. Baker Walter C. Kaiser Collection (A Baker title that took the discount code): https://www.logos.com/product/42496/baker-walter-c-kaiser-collection
6. Ancient Texts and Translations Library Expansion XL: https://www.logos.com/product/177420/logos-8-ancient-texts-and-translations-library-expansion-xl (Awesome content at a very cheap price).
7. And I might top it all off with one upgrade that contains the complete 5 volumes of the Encyclopedia of Christianity (5 vols.). I only own 3 volumes, so there are 2 Base Packages that have it. I will see which one is better for me to get and complete my set or I might just wait for Logos 9 and see what it includes. L9 might be cheaper and better, so we'll see. I'll weigh my options. I have until tomorrow to make up my mind!
