Hi,

I got a Baker's New testament commentary 3 years ago and never succeded to use it.

Time passed and I got support from logos and after few email she was about to help me live and my computer crashed.

Now i've got a new /old computer and tried to read the commentary and it didn't worked out. I still have an error code 6 when i am finalizing the set up.

I really want to get another cd with another book from Logos but somehow i would like to make sure it will work before i buy it.

Can someone help me ?

Thanks a lot

Are you trying to add Baker's to an existing Logos installation, or are you installing it fresh?

You'll need to download and install the latest version of Libronix 3 from the website before you install the CD. Older versions of the software (such as what you have on CD) are not compatible with modern operating systems.

Go to the following page and follow the instructions for a new user: (If you've managed to install Libronix 3, uninstall it first.)

Go to Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Vista/ Win 7) and try and uninstall from there. If that doesn't work, try this: http://www.logos.com/specialinstall

Isabel,

Since you were getting Error Code 6 and are now getting a message that there is an older version of the software is installed, follow the steps below for how to fix this error.

  1. First, run this file as it will completely remove the Libronix software so it can be reinstalled.
  2. When a window shows up asking if you want to run or save. Save the file to your desktop and once it has saved there, double-click on the file to run it.
  3. A command window will open to begin the purge process.
  4. Follow the prompts to uninstall
  5. If you are prompted to restart the computer during this process, click No, and allow the purge to complete.
  6. If a message comes up that says, "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed," click OK each time it appears. This message occurs because the purge process tries to remove every Libronix component, including those that may not have been installed yet.
  7. When the purge process is complete, the command window will close.
  8. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS. Delete the Common, Inbound and System folders (leave Resources in place, as it contains your book files).
  9. Restart your computer.
  10. Once the computer has restarted, click here and follow steps 1 & 2 on that page for how to reinstall your software.

After those steps are complete, Libronix should be reinstalled on your computer and you should be able to open it with no problem. If you do have any other questions, reply to this post.
